Rose - why did you have to post that gorgeous youtube video! i already was starting to obsess on plisses.....

purse-o-holic - the aubergine looks perfect on you!

candace117 - how are you doing?

MiaT - yes, i certainly wouldn't kick a birkin with scales (alligator, croc, lizard) out of bed! the scarf is probably as close as i will get

MaiTai - with all the positive feedback, i am rethinking my position on the scales!

Yikes, now I should apologise for the terrible quality of the video, the lack of sound and the amateurness of it! I'm glad people have found it fun to share anyway; I was asked by a friend to share tying techniques and YouTube was the only way I could find to do it short of mailing her a CD. I swear I'd have tried to do a better job of it if I'd known it would have a bigger audience! Thanks to DH for pointing the camera!

I know why it's so quiet here...everyone is jogging back and forth between a mirror and the scaethoven video...:p

doloresmia, I should ...it looks seriously lovely on you!

Here are some Damier pics I havn't posted yet. Only remembered them when reading through S'mom's Damier thread earlier today.

Oh scaethoven, I am so glad you posted here... now I can thank you personally for the fab how-to and the great Plissé ideas!! Never mind the quality (which isn't bad at all, lol) it's the content that matters!! :flowers:

Oh, and I forgot to add that anyone who manages to do a video 'how-to' of five different Plissé looks in 1min 42sec (!) without editing (!) is a genius

The video is GREAT! Thank you!

Mai Tai--Pretty soon you will be pushing me over the edge and I will have my SA looking for a Damier Shawl. Uh-oh.

Scaethoven--I haven't watched you video yet, but only because I have an obsessive/addictive personality and have been thinking about Plisses lately. Unfortunately I have myself on a ban and cannot get obsessed about something new. After February I will check the video out. Thanks for the work!
