Semur-en-Auxois, a gavroche ring looks similar to the chaine d'ancre scarf ring, though smaller. one side is coloured enamel, the other, silver or palladium. It is perfect for the pocket squares and the 70cm vintage scarves!

Thank you! It sounds very useful. I can imagine at least one way to use it with the 36" twill as well . . . . how long is it and how wide? I don't get into town very often, and now that I think of it, have never seen a scarf ring of any size displayed at the boutique there. I see scarf rings all the time at the duty free shop that I pass through most frequently, but don't ever remember seeing one of those. In fact, I've never seen a horn ring, anywhere, other than in photos . . .

Anyway, I have so much to learn!

I just LOVE being able to log on every day and see scarves I've never seen before, or even knew existed, being worn. This forum/thread is amazing! Thanks again.

Semur-en-Auxois - welcome to this thread! You will have a lot of fun here, looking forward to seeing pics of your treasures!

Mai Tai, Thank you! I'm thrilled to have found this place. You, and everyone else here, are such an inspiration.

I'm insanely busy, as is everyone else, it seems, with the usual December activities, but will be out of town for a few days late next week, and hope to have time then to learn how to take scarf photos and post them. Stay tuned!

Semur-en-Auxois, I don't know where you live, but I called an SA who was *beautiful* (it was the first time we'd ever talked) and found me a horn scarf ring in days. I couldn't believe it, as it seems a much-desired, not-always-available object. Her quickness means they should be floating about. I'd never had a scarf ring before, and I am "all over" its usefulness. Even thinking of another... (That darn, beautiful SA--she described a brand new scarf ring to me that features a kelly lock design! Resistance! Discipline!)

LiW--Annie Faivre is a muse.

Here's me, today, wearing Tigre Royal. I went to my company's holiday reception and my boss complimented me on it, twas funny as I doubt he knows anything about Hermes (although I guess he could :shrugs:). Also I'm posting a pic of my horn scarf ring, which I LOVE!
