Dou.dou, your Marwari is very beautiful--I find it the most enticing colorway in that design. You look stunning!

And MaiTai, thank you for the picture from Paris! I had no idea they changed the scarves at the rooftop. I look forward to any description of what you found there.

Not wearing an Hermès scarf today--instead, one of my Brigitte Singh scarves (hand block-printed Mughal era design)--so I didn't bother to take a picture. But I've got it secured by the H horn ring. How I love that little accessory!

Hi ladies... Wearing the same scarf as yesterday, only as a belt today. :smile1:

Welcome Semur-au-Auxis! Happy to hear you are enjoying al the scarves!

Thank you, Mia! I can't believe how imaginative and inventive all of you are. I love it!! It's so interesting to see all the different ways people use their scarves, and I love, love, LOVE seeing the outfits you all put together. I'm so inspired!! Everyone here has such style, and yet every single person has her/his own unique look. This thread is great, great fun.

I hope to participate more fully soon . . .

Thanks again! :o) Semur-en-Auxois

Me with my lovely Marwari scarf today, what a wonderful nice Friday, sunshine outside.

And my cute new blue de prusse so kelly:

Dou.dou, the monochromatic outfit, with "current" pieces and fun accessories, is absolutely to-die-for. I love both ways of wearing the scarf, and the Kelly over your shoulder is simply perfect. (I don't own a single H bag -- yet -- but I do have a really "fun" performance car in exactly that shade!)
The "statement" your outfit/accessories make is great. And I love the little heart-shaped paperclips used on the photo images of your post. Delightful!! I am REALLY loving this thread. (Uh, has anyone noticed??!!?)

Thanks for the inspiration. :o) Semur-en-Auxois

You guys ALL look amazing! I had a "relapse" of sickness after running around for two days. Hardly fair! I was sick for a week and FINALLY tried to get some shopping done! I ended up completely unwell and lost my voice yesterday. I'm much better today but, still only in crummy "I don't feel well" clothes. Thanks for keeping me bright and cheerful with all your posts!

As for my shopping, I was just picking up a few shirts and things for DH for Christmas (don't tell him :-P). Keep posting! I hope to be back to usual very soon.

xiaoxiao, I also love the scarf as a belt. Thanks for sharing the pics--I simply presumed that doing so would be too over-the-top. It isn't at all! (Me thinks it's time to pull out that cardigan for which I never bought a belt and "have at it.")

And Semur-en-Auxois--Isn't this *fun*? I'm new here, too, and this thread is riveting, as well as the thread about different ways to wear scarves found in the Reference section. You seem a long time collection of the scarves (I'm pretty new at it)--and I look forward to seeing your favorites.

hi there,
Could someone please advise me on how i can obtain a gavroche ring? I approached my local store, down under, and they didn't know what i was talking about! Then proceeded to tell me that one couldn't be ordered, and then in the next breath said they were discontinued. I am beside myself with desperation for one or more of these rings. I need the black one and would love a red one too. Is it possible for me to contact a store overseas and get them to check their stock and if they have one, to ship to me? But they don't know me, so would they do this? Would they need some sort of id? I could pay with amex, would that make a difference? Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.:heart::heart:

What is a gavroche scarf ring? I don't think I've ever seen one. How does one use it? :o) Semur-en-Auxois

Wow, I didn't even know about the reference section. There is so much here that I've not discovered!

And yes, I've been at it quite a long time, but not with the intention of collecting or accumulating scarves. I've only really known about the enormous variety that Hermes offers every year since they updated thier internet site a few years ago. I was looking on the internet for the address of the boutique in a city not far from me a few years ago and the first ten search results were ebay auctions. So then I took a look and discovered hundreds of scarves I'd never seen before, and every day dozens more would appear! I'm really particular about color, because I want to be sure that a scarf looks great on me before I buy it, and not all colors do -- and the colors on my monitor are always different from what you see in real life -- so I look often, just to learn, but rarely buy on eBay. It still amazes me how many drop-dead gorgeous scarves that company has created over the years. And every year, they introduce more!

For about the past five years, I have really focussed on editing my scarf "wardrobe" and selecting with much greater care and attention new acquisitions. I have some gorgeous older scarves, including some real surprises -- scarves that don't seem particularly interesting or beautiful when folded in the shop, but which tie beautifully and have become real workhorses. I also am paying much greater attention to making all of my accessories work together. That's another story entirely . . . .
