Wow....love the look of this bag!!! So gorgeous.

Here are a few photos of the Cole Haan crossbody I found recently. Sorry, after I took the photos I realized I hadn't snapped the snaps at the bottom of the bag but unsnapped bag and all, these photos should at least give you an idea of the style, lol. They had it in black, this brown, and a really nice green color at my local outlet last week.

I love the classic leather Alexa but this bag is a special kind o' ugly...

Loving this thread! I used to carry the good old Danish schoolbags made of green canvas, brings back good memories!

I like the Marc Jacobs one with the compartments... wish it were just a tad larger, I like my messengers to slouch a bit when filled.

I love the MBMJ one, too, although I wonder if the strap can be doubled so it can be worn as a shoulder bag.

Out of all the bags in this thread, my favorites are the PS1 and the Cole Haan messenger. I love the CH even more because the price is so reasonable! I also love how it can be worn in so many ways.

So I had a hard time buying the Cole Haan bag that SDBaglover shared with us here because colehaan.com does not accept international credit card. I found a Tan one on ebay a few days ago and the auction ended today, and I WON! I can't wait to get it!

I am really in to crossbody bags right now, especially those that have a flap. I find that my favorite attributes for a bag now are basically Flap stylye, crossbody function and turnlock where available - hence my love for the Mulberry Alexa. I own the Balenciaga Folk Bag in Castagna which I love as well as a Balenciaga Velo Canard. I also own the Coach Hamptons Flap in Cypress which I love as well.

I just bought a Marc by Marc Jacobs Saddlery Sophie bag in Tobacco.
It will be here next week. I will post pictures when I receive her.

Tejas: The saddlery Sophie bag from MBMJ is new. I understand that only Saks and Nordstroms have it. I love the extra strap on it. I kind of reminds me of my Coach Whiskey Ali with a Crossbody strap. It would be so great if Coach would make the Ali Whiskey again for the 70th Anniversary in an updated version with a crossbody strap. I would buy it in a heartbeat. Here is the link to the MBMJ bag which I purchased through Nordstroms. It should arrive today. I will post pictures when I receive it later today. I think it is a bit smaller than my Ali. I sure hope it fits my ipad in it.

I also love the Cole Haan Messenger bag and might try that one as well. My favorite crossbody hands down is Mulberry Alexa but it just gives me anxiety to carry it on the subway. For this reason I am moving in to bags which I won't worry about and can enjoy with ease.

Since I have moved in to crossbody bags I find I am not using my other non crossbody bags much. I sometimes wonder if I should rehome some of them. What do you think?

On another note Mulberry is making a crossbody Bayswater Oak for next Spring 2011. I have that bag on my radar and am saving up now for it.

I really like the size (I'm extra petite and always have to worry about bags dwarfing me), but I'm not so sure about the braiding on the straps down the front...

Oh, please do post mod pics when you get this MJ Saddlery bag. I've been eyeing it for a while too. My finger's poised over the "buy" button but I've held back because of its size. The measurements they have seem a bit small. Would love it in a slightly larger size.

Here is the Marc by Marc Jacobs saddelry sophie bag in tobacco. It is about the size of the regular Alexa. I own an Oversized Alexa Oak. The saddelry sophie fits what one would need for a day out an about and it actually fits my ipad though it is a bit snug. I love the MBMJ Sophie and plan on carrying it for the rest of the week. This is my first MBMJ bag and the leather is really beautiful.

I did not have a messenger bag but I have been wanting this one so I got it.. The GUCCI Tribeca UNICEF Tattoo Python Messenger Bag... I have not used her yet but the bag is very roomy and lovely..
