Which LV purchase did you regret?

Do you have pictures of the melting? I ask because I've heard it mentioned a lot on TPF but have never seen it and wouldn't know what to look for. Thanks so much.

I'm regretting my DE Alma PM. I loved it because of how classic it is without really planning if it would suit my lifestyle. I only carry shoulder or crossbody bags, and, despite trying to tell myself that using it as a shoulder bag with the Speedy B DE strap looks fine, I'm just not convinced My second regret is the GM cosmetic pouch. I was at a point where I felt awkward buying mono items, so I limited myself to only DE. Alas, the shape wastes a lot of space, and it takes up so much room in my bags. I finally learned to embrace mono and now have a mono toiletry bag 19 that's perfect.

How does toiletry 19 compare in size to your cosmetic pouch? Any pics?

I am fine with the glazing if done properly and it doesn't get damaged again! The thing is that the strap and the handles have become so sticky that it's coming on to my clothes and the leather can be seen from inside !!! Literally a melt down

I had my speedy emp put in with some dents and an imprint from the zipper where the handle had been resting in storage. The new glazing is different and improved, not the same texture, just smooth and flat. It cost me nothing

So here's an update LV gave me a store credit for $2860 for my Speedy empriente! I'm so relieved now as I was really worried!

Fantastic!! I'm so glad to hear that. I love LVs customer service (when met with the right SA). They always stand by their products and that's the only reason I keep going back to the fashion house. I considered long and hard if I wanted to invest in the new speedy empreinte because of how much of a fan I am of the empreinte line. I kept telling myself they aren't perfect, the gold lettering could chip, the sides crease and bulge, and so on, but the black is so stunning. In the end, I very recently decided I would take my money to a different fashion house and I purchased my first leather Chanel boy bag instead. It was a bit more than the empreinte speedy would've been but the difference in quality of materials is worth it! Going forward, I think I'm going to lean more towards Chanel from now on because LVs quality control is getting to be too much for me now. I do like the variety LV has to offer and find their bags more practical for day-to-day. But I can very confidently say my Chanels will last much longer than my LVs. My empreinte speedy handles still don't have any big dents or issues, yet, but I do hate that LV has so many issues with their glazing. Which is why I appreciate Chanel not having this glazing. But I love LV SLGs more than Chanel's and probably always will. So glad you got your credit though!

My speedy empreintes have tiny dents but nothing noticeable or major. Do you think I'd be able to get my handles reglazed for free or would it only be done as a repair if my handles were in need of it? Right now I don't need them repaired at all but I wouldn't mind the better glazing.

I am now regretting the Unicef necklace. I tried selling it half price never worn but I keep getting people offering $100 for it. Same with my Epi Neverfull - I took off $650 and it's brand new but it's never cheap enough for people. I think overall I regret any purchase I can't resell as a fair price.

I think they would have to be noticeable for them to agree to repair for free..
