Turenne PM. Bought it instead of the speedy because I thought it was a fancier version of the speedy. However, I never wore it because I felt I always had to be more dressed up. Whereas the speedy can be dressy or casual. Ended up selling it at a loss and getting a speedy anyway. Plus wearing it crossbody really hurt my shoulder.

My very first LV piece was the speedy 25 in monogram canvas. I kept it in wonderful condition for 9 years until I got water spots on it. I found myself always babying it and not enjoying it as much as I could. Vachetta is beautiful but it's just not for me. I sold it this year and bought the DE speedy 25 bandouliere instead which I don't have to worry about at all. To satiate my love for monogram I also got the Palm Springs mini backpack. It was three times the cost of what I paid for the monogram speedy 9 years ago but it's carefree and can be worn crossbody. I couldn't be happier.

I regret buying my Neverfull mm in monogram .. I should have learned my lesson when I bought a speedy 25 almost 8 years ago in monogram. I love the monogram print but I know now that I can't stand aging vachetta .. Now I'm trying to sell my neverfull to get it in damier ebene. I still enjoy monogram in the slg's though

Yes, the monogram is either something you can use and enjoy regardless of the wear and tear, or something you'll regret completely. I got just about every penny back when I sold my monogram speedy even though it had very dark water marks because it had doubled in value over the nine years I had it. I'll probably never buy monogram again. That's why I was ecstatic about the Palm Springs mini backpack with black trimmings/monogram canvas. I think other women's monogram bags look great on them but for me, I just couldn't enjoy a "stained" bag. I had to always be careful with it and it just wasn't practical. I love monogram SLGs though. I have a monogram zippy wallet that has perfect canvas with no wearing off of any of the print (the new monogram canvas wears quicker). Getting the DE will work much better for you. When I got my speedy 25 in DE this year after selling my monogram, it was like night and day. I don't think twice about the DE and I loooove that about it. Purses shouldn't have to be babied. Hope your neverfull sells for a great price so you can add the DE to your collection instead :)

Oh my gosh exactly! I hate watching every corner and person I pass when I'm wearing something monogram in fear of spilling something. When I missed my monogram speedy 25 I found a brand new one preloved in de and I love reaching for it now because I don't have to worry about the handles ever! Lesson learned .. Only slg's in mono and bags have to be de for me. I hope I can get a decent price for my neverfull too ... There's too many lowballers out there :yucky:

Totally MM DE: I LOVED it at first, but the front strap fell off my shoulder ALL THE TIME. Besides that, one day the stiff straps (boy, those were some REEEALLY STIFF straps) hurt my shoulder quite badly. I decided to sell it in no time. No regrets at all.

Neo Neverfull MM DA: the MM size is not for me. I don't carry much, but I'm absolutely paranoid about the open top and the fact that the bag sticks out too much towards my back, so I wouldn't see if someone put their hand inside my bag. I also HATE the look of this bag when it's cinched. Because of these things, I felt so bad when I wore it that I started to find it kinda ugly. Ended up selling it. I still have a Neverfull GM DE and while I find the straps considerably uncomfortable, I love the fact that it is so deep. I wear mine cinched (I don't find the GM ugly when it's cinched) and don't worry about it.

Noé: this had been my holy grail bag for two years. I was ABSOLUTELY THRILLED when I finally bought it. It just so happens that I bump into EVERYTHING when I'm wearing it, because it has such a wide base. Besides, it falls off my shoulder every 30 seconds. I can't stand it, it makes me go nuts. I started hating going out with it. I'm currently trying to sell it.

The very first time I wore my monogram speedy I got a tiny hint of blue transfer on one of the handles from grazing my jeans. I was devastated and ended up babying it way too much. That blue came off as the oils from my hands conditioned the handles (it was very subtle), but I found myself watching where I set it down. If I was going to eat I'd leave it at home to avoid any spills, or stains from my hands after eating. I couldn't have the bag around pets. It was just an all around hassle. I see women carrying their vachetta items beautifully with no concern for the darkening of the leather, and I admire their ease with it, but I just can't stand the look of spotted/marked/aging vachetta. It makes it look dirty, to me. IMG_1472365445.134707.jpg

This is my current collection- all dark pieces and doubles of my favorite dark pieces. I am not a risk taker when it comes to color transfer and premature aging of my bags so only carefree purses for me. My Damier ebene speedy is my most carefree of them all- you're going to love making the switch to DE too! :). So glad you're loving not worrying about your handles ever. That's the best. Bags are meant to be worn well and enjoyed. They shouldn't have to be attended to- they're not children. One time it was raining when I came out of a store so I put my jacket over my speedy. In that moment, I knew vachetta wasn't for me! So glad it's out of my collection for good. Fingers crossed you get a good price for your neverfull- good luck! :)

Beautiful collection!! How do you like your Saint Germaine bb?? I've been on the fence about it because it's such a small bag but it's so darn cute!

Thank you so much! :) I don't like my Saint Germains, I LOVE them. To me, they're cuter than the Chanel minis. They're not trendy like Chanels, and I love empreinte and monogram. So when I saw this purse become available earlier this year I jumped on the chance to own it. I loved wearing it so much I got a second because it's one of my all time favorites. And I knew I would want a second later but I wouldn't want to pay more for it than it is now with the crazy price increases on the empreinte line. It's lightweight and has an incredibly comfortable chain that's flat. The gold s lock is stunning. And it's very tiny but fits everything I need. It fits an iPhone 6S, just to give you an idea of the size. I highly recommend this bag :)IMG_1472433890.208413.jpgIMG_1472433915.914144.jpgIMG_1472433929.598477.jpg

I can relate to this (and the other post) about the vachetta. It looks great on others, but I worry too much about having to baby it. I had a Neverfull GM in mono, after 3 years the vachetta started to age just a bit and I figured I would sell while it still looked nice.

I have switched over primarily to Damier Ebene bags, I still have one classic Speedy 25 left in monogram that I will keep.

I know the Neverfull with "patches" is coming out any day now, that is going to be in monogram with black leather trim. I am hoping this bag will eventually become available without the patches, I think the dark trim would be awesome!

Smart! I'll never buy monogram with vachetta again. I love how they release monogram pieces with black now. I like bags that I can set down anywhere and not worry. The worst was when I'd be out and had to wash my hands. If I put my speedy in between my knees, so as to not set it on the floor, I'd worry about water from the sink splashing it. I don't know what I was thinking buying my monogram speedy. I think for my first piece I was thinking I wanted the name branded all over my bag because of the excitement of an LV for the first time. But I quickly regretted it. I loved my bag all the way up until I got my second LV bag that was carefree. I never looked back. Now, it's all darks for me. These bags are way too much money to not get in carefree colors and materials. And the neutral, darker colors go with all of my outfits. Can't go wrong with DE, brown and black :)
