the one's in missouri basically suck, the only brands i ever see in the handbags at TJ's are betsey johnson, b. makowsky, and michael kors.

and at Marshall's, Dereon. Seriously.

can we get some variety please :yes:

oh my! my favorite marshalls in the entire world is in houston at i-10 and bunker hill. it's a homegoods AND mega shoes center. i found 4 different styles of diane von furstenburg shoes with plenty of sizes still available. i've never seen DVF at a marshalls before, so i am super excited to see the brand at my marshalls. i ended up buying the "rialto" DVFs on clearance for $69. on zappos, the orig price is $239, but is on sale for $136.

I live next door to the Tysons TJMaxx. It has Joes, Vince and Rock & Republic Jeans. Last week there was a white Dior Chri-Chri for sale for $1199. (I think someone may have purchased it.) Right now there is a dark brown/burgandy YSL Easy in the small size (it's been there for a week) for $670 I believe. Also a few Prada bags, Gucci bags and watches, and 1 or 2 YSL wristlets/wallets.

Here in San Diego one of the best Marshalls is in La Jolla - they, too, have DVF footwear (and dresses). They carry a steady stream of Theory clothing and Coach Footwear. Best of all they seem quick to clearance. DVF and SFAM wedges were both on clearance last week in the regular shoe section ("Designer" shoes are right at the front of the store on a tiered shoe round - I've seen Stella McCartney and LAMB).

Now, if you are willing to drive an hour (from SD) hit the Runway store in La Canada (North end of the Valley - LA). And right after the holidays I consistently find tagged Saks5th Ave. and Bloomie clearance items in my local TJM - last year I got a flawless short wool Theory peacoat and a cashmere wrap sweater both for $49.

just went today, the pradas are still there, 1 gucci there, quite a few gucci scarves, and nothing good for sunnies. Tons of designer clothes today also, but I wasn't in the mood the hunt through all of them for my size lol.

When you say the Marshalls in McLean, do you mean the one in Tysons Corner? I'm in the DC area too and I've been dying to go check this one out but the Marshalls store locator doesn't show one in McLean, only in Vienna near Tysons. Could you let me know where the McLean one is located?

^ It's this one: 8389 Leesburg Pike Vienna, VA 22182. It's listed as Vienna, but it's literally 1 mile from the Tysons Corner Malls on Leesburg pike, so I guess driving down the street is considered a different city lol.

The one near my home town can be the same way!

But, I can find some good things every blue moon... like kate spade sunglasses for $15, a bvlgari key chain for $20, a michele watch for $275, a pair of clearance jbrand jeans for $15, and two pairs of strappy stuart weitzman sandals for $25 a piece. this is probably over the course of like a year or so.

it's funny... i don't know what it is, but people in my area seem to not know the difference between stuff like a prada bag and a guess bag, etc.

In the sunglasses section, the dereon, rocawear, baby phat, blah blah blah, all have the security censor tags, whereas I've picked up a pair of tom ford sunglasses (no idea what those were doing there... shouldve bought them for $75) with no sensor attached at all.

When i bought my michele watch, it was just sitting in it's box on top of the counter and the only type of watches in the jewelry case were like lacoste, betsey johnson, etc, as if those were more valuable.

at the same time, it's kind of nice because since no one knows about the value of these items, they'll get clearanced and reduced to insanely low prices and then I can come in and scoop them all up for ridiculous prices! :D

I posted a photo of the Balenciaga bag I found at the TJ MAXX by my house a few months ago. It's in the "general shopping" section and they do carry Bals sometimes! You have to look for the TJs with a RUNWAY section because they have high end designers. I've seen Prada, Miu Miu, YSL, Nanette Lepore, etc by me.

I really miss my Upper West Side TJs in NYC. They had the absolute best costume jewelry. Their runway section was smaller but ALWAYS had the best sales. Pretty much anything you see and like would be on sale in 2-3 weeks if someone hadn't purchased.

I'm now in So Cal and the Glendale TJs has a pretty good Runway dept. but nowhere close to the amazing jewelry inventory of my beloved NYC store.
