Where are the best TJ Maxx and Marshalls?!?!?

i don't think it depends on location, you're always gonna find a hit or a miss depending on each store inventory, i go to Marshalls everyday at my luch break, so i know ,some days i find good stuff, other times nothing great
At the TJ MAXX in my hometown in Texas, I always found good deals on nice brands...I've noticed in some really populated or big cities where the TJ MAXX is really popular, things are much more picked over and not nearly as good to go to.
I live in Alexandria, VA and the TJ Maxx in Potomac Yard has the runway collection. I've never seen high end bags other than D&B. They do carry alot of Alice & Olivia, Rebecca Taylor, Marc Jacobs, Theory, Tibi... Some of the stuff is really cute, but still a little pricey for being a year or two old.

Alexandria, VA here too! I've also wondered if it was worth going to this TJ's because I haven't been to Potomac Yard in a couple of years and have heard that it's gone downhill but it might be worth a trip. I'm actually closest to the Mt. Vernon Plaza TJ's but the nearest Runway store is the Kingstowne location and I've never really seen anything that high end.
I've seen both Louboutin and Versace here in Biddeford, Maine (of ALL places). So I wouldn't be too surprised at the Balenciaga claim in a place more 'likely'...
I am in Dallas and go to the Irving one a lot. I have seen exotic Jimmy Choo bags, Gucci, Fendi, YSL (these weren't even in the 'runway' section), and Prada. In clothes, I've seen 7FAM (cheap after markdown), See by Chloe (bought a dress for $40), Valentino, Alice and Olivia, Joes (got a pair for $29), Coach shoes, Juicy couture (shoes/tracksuits), True Religion, etc. It's RARE not to see something pretty high-end at this store.
there is a TJMaxx in Natick, MA that is in the same plaza as a Marshalls and a Nordstrom Rack. I saw a Balenciaga there about a month ago, but I am not familiar with this brand so I don't know what it was (it was not very large, looked like a cube, and was very kelly green). i saw the same bag at another TJMaxx in Cambridge, MA. i believe both are runway stores. both regularly have lots of 7FAM, Joe's and Rock and Republic. I don't look much as the clothes besides that, so I don't know much else.
I once got chatting to an assistant in TKMaxx who did say that different stores are stocked with different ranges - eg my local gets the real clearance stuff (not so good!) while other stores in the area get better brands, but even then it's hit and miss!
I did find an Alexander McQueen bag (12-18 months ago???) but it had been kicked around the floor (some people!!!

i am from houston and certain stores always have a decent amount of contemporary designer and designer items. i have heard (i think here at tpf?) that the stores garner merch from surrounding retailers. i am not sure if it is true or not, but for some of the stores i visit, it makes sense because they are in high end areas.
