I still can’t unsee the maxi pad in my Attelage necklace! (I love it anyway.)
IMO the name of the SS2023 mousseline "Jungle Love au Tampon" en francais is truly cringe worthy. Luckily, on the English language Canadian website it is listed as "Jungle Love Stamped". I have the green version - I love it and it's one of my most versatile scarfs - however I have labeled the scarf box with the English translation.......

Well...it's a legitimate French word that has all of those meanings at once! Kind of like when the iPad came out and everyone was all upset, then immediately forgot all about the pad thing LOL

ETA: this thread is hysterical!

Clients who try to curry favor with their sa by buying gifts for their sa even if they’re not personal gifts are annoying. I’m talking about going out of their way to buy flowers, chocolates and cake for an sas birthday. Cringe. Makes you wonder whether there’s quid pro quo going on esp when that client states they also got a bag at the same time.

My unpopular opinion is that there’s almost nothing to buy. I don’t want my home to look like a H showroom and I don’t collect scarves. There’s better fine jewelry elsewhere, the shoes are inferior to any number of “proper” shoe designers (both of which have become so captured by H logo equivalents that they have become unbelievably repetitious, season after season) and the RTW hasn’t been to my taste recently. I don’t want to be first line forced into mindless spending and consumption of things I don’t really want just to be able to buy the things I do want. (yes, I know, resellers….)
Late to the game, but I also resonate with this sentiment. H fine jewelry aftercare service is a joke, and their RTW has been disappointing to say the least (silhouette almost always unflattering and overall very matrony... I am certain H has the resources and means to hire a team of outstanding, highly talented designers.. Just why?). As for home goods, I've bought several avalon cushions, and SA wanted me to ante up & purchase matching blankets with them. I had to kindly decline as I didn't want my living room to look like a poorly decorated showroom. I've also bought a significant amount of H tableware, but it's becoming an ordeal just to place the order as most of them are back-ordered, and SA makes it sound as if she is doing me a favor. I am honestly running out of things to buy, and most of my recent purchases comprise of men's RTW for my hubby as I don't find anything to my liking.

I find the tshirts and tshirt dresses something i would go to sleep in, not something i would go out the house in.

LOL, I exclusively avoid their cotton t-shirts because I personally find them hideous. Boy, what's up with their never-ending infatuation with graphic designs that adds absolutely nothing to H aesthetics? I do occasionally purchase their sweaters, but they are either a hit or a huge miss. My SA insists H cashmere is incomparably superior to loro piana, but I beg to differ... they are often times scratchy. I'd only agree on that note for silk-blend cashmeres; now, those are better than other competitors in the market.

I don’t understand the cut of H tshirts at all. The most recent one I tried on belled out at the hips like the dress! Wtf?! Someone please tell H I don’t need ANY help in that area
I don't understand the cut of any of the RTW! I am small but not THAT small and absolutely nothing fits me unless I want to buy some (very expensive, orange) tent poles and go camping  Also, why is the equestrian gear cut smaller than everything else?

Yea the fit on mostly everything is very weird on me. Every.single.time. I try in a H dress I leave questioning myself  Glad to hear it’s not just me! Honestly the only thing that fit me are the pullover/sweaters. I love them but that’s it!

Given the previous comments, I may be offering a popular opinion rather than unpopular...why can't sizes in RTW be consistent? I have only purchased tops (mostly knitwear) and outerwear and the sizes that end up working for me range from 34 to 42...super challenging to order anything if I have no idea what size I might wear and stock is always so low in store that ordering is almost always necessary. Invariably I have to return something for a different size.

Yup, agree. But for those of us who don’t care about vanity sizing, this may still be an unpopular opinion.
For me the trend is to size down bc so many items run large
Two years ago, I was a chanel 38-40 and an Hermes 38
This year, I’m a chanel 38 and usually an Hermes 34, with an occasional 36-38.
I have not been a size 34 since I was in high school in the early eighties and weighed a third less lol
( size 34 knit tops, knit bottoms, a rain coat, poplin shirts, jackets, dresses, cashmere double faced coats
and other things, to name a few). I have no idea what real size 34 individuals do.

ETA: There is no logic to this vanity sizing. For example, twillane bathrobes are huge, and the short sleeved
matching sweaters are cut very small. The same is sometimes true of H shoe sizing. . . where sandals are unusually short and voluminous (And I do not have narrow feet
