My super unpopular - I already know - opinion: I dislike both “QB” and “B/K” as abbreviations. Feels like all the soul has gone out of it and these abbreviations reduce beautiful and iconic bags to just something you can “score” - without even a distinction between Birkin and Kelly, just “anything I can get”.
*duck*

I just love visiting the unpopular opinions threat - doesn’t everyone? LOL seriously it makes a great read.

My current unpopular opinion is that with the ‘quiet luxury’ thing being so on trend, a lot of the influencers (some of whom are any thing BUT quiet) the bag flippers, the investment buyers etc. will move on.

There is real danger for those who buy for resale value or for immediate flip, to be left holding the baby so to speak. I mean there is only so many people willing to pay resellers €30000 for a ‘store fresh’ mini Kelly. I don’t know if it will go back to only those who ‘love’ tne brand carrying Hermes, but the resale bubble will burst at some point- it’s just a matter of time.

I don't think that's an unpopular opinion. I would venture to say that many, myself included, hope that will happen.

My unpopular opinion - the padded Kelly reminds me of a butt. I don't know why.

Omg butts everywhere! An older comment in this thread pointed out that the Della Cavelleria looked like a little butt wearing a thong and I haven’t recovered from that yet. Now this!?? Is there some message Hermes is trying to relay

I still can’t unsee the maxi pad in my Attelage necklace! (I love it anyway.)

My unpopular opinion is I can’t understand how Hermes can sell very expensive fine jewelry in its stores but provide none of the services a regular jewelry store would provide. I bought a white gold and diamond necklace at Chanel. I needed the chain extended. Not a problem, they did it in house, and I had it back in 2 weeks. They charged extra for extending the chain but that was fine with me. I looked at a similar necklace at Hermes that also needed the chain extended. The Hermes jewelry SA who my regular SA consulted spoke directly to me in a very patronizing tone of voice, “Madame if you want the chain extended, I suggest you buy the necklace and take it to your jeweler to have it extended. We don’t do that at Hermes!” I’m amazed that they get away with selling expensive jewelry without providing even basic services. So to paraphrase the jewelry SA, Hermes retails jewelry but does not consider itself a jeweler?

Unpopular opinion: Some H clients go to the boutique also to show off their holy grail bags and their wealth.

I was fitting some watches at that time and this lady who seemed like she buys H furniture came in to the jewelry section. She was wearing H from head to toe and had a mini kelly shiny crocodile in Noir. She gave me a side glance if i was looking at her like to catch if i was looking at her so she can feed her ego lol

Ok im outta here haha

I agree...if Hermes wants its FJ to be taken seriously then they should act like a serious jeweler.....Its the least they can do...to offer simple aftercare services....
