Here are a couple unpopular opinions on H blankets.

1. The new Cheval cabriolet blanket confounds me. why are there four large wheels near the hooves? is the horse standing on the wheels? Is he next to four wheels? Why are there four random wheels and how are they even standing up? Is there some phantom buggy? :confused1:

2. The H en rythme blanket up close reminds me of those prints outs when you first align your printer cartridge. :confused1: Sorry you probably can’t unsee that now.:giggle:

Lol re:#1 this is what fashion progressives would call a “deconstruction” :.)

On #1, to the right of the horse harness is H corporate and to the left of the horse … customers of H

I don’t like the horse head motifs on the RTW or jewelry. I posted a while ago that the geegee charm makes me think of the Godfather ( I think others independently came to this conclusion, so I’m not the only one by far). And this stuff does too. Sometimes I wonder if the brief from H corporate to creatives is to troll us.

ETA: a bag is an accessory, not the main event :)

+1 for the godfather context…I remember discussing this with you a few 100 pages ago lol

I’m not a fan of the Galop ring in gold with the single diamond. Why the cyclops horse head?

Generally, I agree with this opinion...while I understand that H started as a line of equestrian gear, I definitely don't want a horse head hanging on my bag or decorating my RTW and, TBH, I'm not a fan of many of the equestrian motifs on the RTW as I think it makes them look kind of cheap...unpopular opinion? I think so given how much of the RTW includes these motifs.
That being said, I have many scarves with equestrian motifs that I love (perhaps because they're not as obvious once the scarf is folded and tied) and I just bought DH this hat with...a horse head! And I love it

Yes but that’s an interesting horse head. TOTALLY different.

Another unpopular opinion:
I honestly don't know WHY it pushes buttons for me but I really wince when I see the question on threads asking
how much an item someone has brought or is wearing cost.
It just strikes me as a little rude or nosy especially as costs can vary widely country to country with local sales tax etc.
And one can surely find out for ones self the cost of an item by doing a little research.
I know people ask this question in good faith but yup it just irritates me!
In general, when people ask me how much I spent on bags/shoes I reply “what I could afford to spend”, unless I know the person has genuine interest in the brand and doesn’t want to judge my spending habit. Both IRL and in this forum.
What I really dislike is when people unnecessarily write about the amount they have spent, i.e. “I spent 7 digit in my store, look what I finally got!” or “I spent xyz $ in just 30 minutes with my SA, so I obviously got offered a QB!”. Writing the amount really add nothing to the narrative in this case.

But whenever I’ve seen another lady carrying one, they just turn their nose up. Lol. I find it very funny.
Oh, wow.
Now I'm even happier that in my area, if I just say "nice bag" with a smile while shopping the response is like "your's too" or just "thank you" and people seem happy for the compliment with big grins.
I even had the situation with bag twins by walking by to just a warm smile with a wink and subtle pointing to the bag. No word was spoken, but it was so nice :)

The horse on wheels was probably inspired by an old child's toy, in ye old days, kids often had little horses/elephants/dogs on wheels and used their feet to paddle along and/or had a push-bar at the back so their parents/nanny could wheel them to the park etc

IKWYM, butI think it's more supposed to be like a Marwari horse bridle. I think the long, fine head also feels right with it (as opposed to the more power-horse head of the Large Gallop which I also have).

Interesting! So perhaps they used the Marwari horse as a model as well. That horse does have a narrower head. That def puts this ring into a diff perspective for me. As I look at the head close up I do see some resemblance of eyes on the sides of the head. Ok so now i have a new appreciation for this ring. Wish it came in a slightly thicker model!
