What’s your unpopular Hermes opinion?

Great point. I thought they may have been going for the "laundry basket with Bluetooth speaker capabilities" vibe.
I might have one of those too lol!

My husband keeps calling it the “barrel”. What is this barrel you got? How is this barrel going to fit in the car? HOW much did you pay for this barrel??

My unpopular opinion (may have been mentioned before) I enjoy buying Hermes not in view of getting a QB (and people get surprised as I do have a great SA who will prob be able to offer me something decent) but am actually happy with the non QBs I have purchased / been offered and can afford. The good thing is my SA knows my situation and it still so lovely. QBs are not attainable anyway due to financial commitments. But still happy to buy stuff from the brand as I love and use what I buy.

Not really an opinion and perhaps not unpopular…I don’t really understand either the concept of or the fascination with ‘prespend ratio.’ As I understand it, in some countries, one must spend a certain amount to ‘earn’ a B or a K offer. My confusion: how would one know exactly what the ratio is in one’s home store? And, more importantly in my mind, do people actually buy items while consciously calculating progress towards achieving the correct ‘prespend ratio’? Rather than because the items bring them joy?
From what I've read here, and from seeing brand new items up on resale sites, I'd say Yes, some people are buying a lot of stuff they don't want, in the hopes of getting the opportunity to spend even more on something they DO want (unless they "accept" a color or leather they don't really like, again because of the game.)

Things that I totally agree with but at the same time makes me feel like I’ve joined a cult:

“Everyone’s journey is different”

“Just buy what you love”

“I’m so grateful to even get what I received”

LOL, how about "Thanks for letting me share." Um, just post your picture. You didn't "score" the opportunity to post because we "offered" it to you LOL

I told my SA how I wished Bolide would have double zippers so it'd be easier to open and close
My SA joked: but this is not LV Alma!
(but I actually preferred the zip design of Alma:idea:)
The double zipper is one of the things I love about the 35 victoria

unpopular opinion: I love the 35 victoria

i also love the fabric lining. Bc it’s lighter

I hear you all about the gold. When I showed mine to my husband, he was unimpressed, but I think it’s good to have a few neutrals, and bags I don’t have to do a whole mental calculation as to whether it will go with my outfit or not.

Unpopular opinion: No. Fur. Sandals.

Lining is fine, and I love a big fur boot Apres-Ski style, but the Fur Orans make no sense. When do you wear them? It’s a warm weather shoe made with cold weather material. Do your feet get sweaty? :wtf:

THANK YOU!! I don’t understand them either, and I’ve made the exact same comment to my husband. But for me, even the shearling lined Chypre doesn’t make any sense for the same reason:confused1:

I bought shearling Birkenstocks as a cheaper alternative as part of the decision process. I ended up deciding that they are more flattering than the shearling chypres, but I really only wear them in the house. I have another pair in case my gut renovation is ever finished, for the terraces. Basically the H version are pricy slippers. But, for other people who love them, if they make you smile and you get your cost per wear out, why not. I do like the the shearring birkenstock Boston closed toe clogs (midnight blue) but I feel oddly like im channeling a boarding school or college kid who missed the California ugg phase when wearing them. Maybe a more lux individual could wear the chypre shearlings for a spa appt apres ski lol

ETA: I cannot do apres ski at a resort because I am only a starter skier and I would feel really silly wearing expensive stuff like that if anyone saw me tripping over my boots or falling up a slope earlier that day

I love them too and used mine to death. It’s an ideal travel bag. Perfectly understated.

My unpopular opinion: I hate Orans. They are uncomfortable and the last is too broad for my foot. Actually, I’m not keen on any H shoes (except maybe my Bouncing sneakers).

I really wanted the orans to work for me but agreed, the last is too broad on my narrow foot! Money saved? lol

OT but have you tried the royal loafers? For the longest time I thought that Big H was soo ostentatious but omg I love how comfortable they are esp in goatskin. I couldn’t resist. I wonder if people that don’t know the shoe will see a “giant H”?

Back on topic. I hate the oran for a different reason. They’re so loud if you don’t walk with intention to control the back of the heel.
