What’s your unpopular Hermes opinion?

I suppose your post makes me feel lucky to live in a city where I have never seen another B even at the boutique and have only once spotted a K. I too prefer to create my own style rather than follow the trends and, here, I am...by carrying a B and not wearing Patagonia ;)
Let me guess, you are living in a mountain town where ‘Mountain Slob’ style inexplicably rules the roost?

I don’t like it when the plastic is left on the hardware
I'm going into hiding: Please PLEASE Hermès: remove the plastic covering the hardware upon payment -. ;)

And maybe I'll get banned now:giggle:: Initials of each buyer onto the hardware or the bag next to the stamp - wouldn't that be the optimal personal touch, especially for those who spread everywhere how much they wished for the bag ...

I conquer the plastic on the hardware. I see so many pictures of so called influencers who keep posting the same Kelly or Birkin bags they own WITH the plastic on the hardware... WHY? Consumerism in the age of Social Media is so UN-Luxury. For the sake of likes, the goal of being offered a H bag to then post on your feed BUT keep the plastic just in case they wanna resell later.
Sorry, I don't get it.

I'm laughing at myself because the photo I took last week with my Birkin had the felt on:lol: I'm going right now to take it off.
Eh! My unpopular opinion is leave it on if that’s your thing! I mean when we’ve seen one we’ve seen them all. I am one that don’t care about the felt I’m really looking at the color and grain  I know how to keep scrolling. Now I will side eye you outside of the house carrying it with felt. But realistically we are taking quick pics of our bags as they are stored. I’m not taking the time to do all that removing for a pic!

That's exactly what happened. I store it with the felt on:smile:

I've just stumbled on this thread and admittedly have not read the past 259 pages, so my unpopular Hermes opinion may already have been mentioned. With the exception of the Filou Glove Clip (a practical way to keep track of your pricey Hermes gloves) and the small themed charms (i.e., heart, lyre, hippo, elephant, etc. stamped with the year of issue and used in place of the original cadenza) and the solid silver H cadena, I find the various items produced by Hermes to be hung from one's bag to be a bit childish. Same goes for the use of Twillys over one or both handles, unless being used to protect light colored leather or an exotic skin or to jazz up a Lindy or Picotin. For me, less is more.
