My first bag was D&B monogram tote in light blue and beige I still to this day miss sooo much haven't been able to find another like it. The vachetta handles were priceless...sigh :rolleyes: Good times...lol

I will never forgot that experience. My first designer bag purchase was a forest green Dooney & Burke satchel. I was so proud of myself for saving a couple of hundred of dollars as I caught it on sale (it was a seasonal color).

The bag was constructed and made with split grain leather?? All I know is the quality and thickness of leather is amazing. The leather piping as turned a caramel color and the straps are thick. It has strong color saturation and the brass finishes have not tarnished to this day. I thought many times of selling this on consignment, but glad I didn't.

Even though I don't buy DB that much (it's the brainwashing of European designers), I hold every bag to the standard of DB circa early 90's.

I was broke, in college, working two jobs....but I just had to have a classic Gucci satchel in blue gg canvas...(think shape of lv speedy 30) ....I kept her for almost twenty years ....and I still am a classic shape/satchel bag girl...even after all these years :-)

Coach Court bag in navy. My roommate in college loved Coach bags and had gotten the love from her mom. I guess it was infectious as after seeing hers, I had to have a Coach. I still love Coach, but have moved on to other styles. It is definitely a classic as it still being sold by Coach since I received it 20+years ago!

A lovely tiny Ferragamo, I was in a mall with a Coach store next to Ferragamo, in the begining I was going to buy a Coach crossbody but the girls there treated me like if I was to steal or something, so I decided to dream a little and went into Ferragamo (my boyfriend gave $300 dlls) and I found there this little bag, I fell in love inmediatly, and my surprise was that I could buy it!!! So Ferragamo was my first designer bag I ever bought :)
