What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

By Malene Birger was a holistic disappointing experience from the bag itself (almost 300€for a PU&leather tote that frayed and broke after a few uses) to customer service. They even stoop to telling lies. Absolutely the worst experience ever, I've gotten better quality and customer care at H&M than this wannabe-high end fashion house. If the customer service AND products are substandard, I can promise you you are wasting your money!

Miu Miu bow bag.
Wanted one for ages, loved the style but after using it a few times realised how bad the quality was.
Decided to onsell it but I can't even give it away.

A Rebecca Minkoff 'Annie' wristlet. It was made of Saffiano leather and real leather. I used it for 5 days and the zipper teeth suddenly peeled off. I immediately contacted Shopbop and they were nice enough to let me return it. I was so upset because I liked that little bag. I guess I was just unlucky enough to get a defect. Oh well.

I once bought a cheap, white evening bag. To match some lovely, white shoes. Because I was in a rush & believed bag HAD TO match shoe color.
Bag was was squeaky vinyl. Had a light pink lining.
Long story short--dirt magnet. I don't get along with white handbags.
Also, shape reminded me of a tooth. Opening it felt like pink mouth gum still was attached. Squeeeeeeeeeeak! Eww. :(

So, still own the shoes--bag's long gone. Lessons learned.

My Louis Vuitton pouchette in the monogram. I love the little bag, but it's just too small. I refuse to get rid of it because it's my first and only Louis Vuitton. I mostly use it to take to my kids' sporting events because it's small or to church where I like to carry a clutch.

Another is the Alexander Wang Rockie. It's heavy. Luckily, I bought it from a thrift store for $25 because they didn't even know that it was a designer bag. I love the cayenne color, but, again, I won't sell it. I'm even thinking of having it cleaned and refreshed.

I have bought bags that are lovely but heavy. What I do is carry them for a few hours, mornings or afternoons, never for the whole day.
Some are too small. Same thing.
I have never had any quality issues with my bags, even the cheapest ones....

Prada saffiano lux tote. I bought the peonia color, such a pretty pink! I only used it for about 3 weeks ( it was in rotation) so I actually had it for 2 months. The glazing started to crack. For a bag that expensive and only 3 weeks of use I was furious! I did know about Prada's quality issues when I bought it, but the bag was absolutely perfect when I bought it, so I foolishly thought "I got a good one". Well lucky for me, I bought it at Neiman Marcus and not Prada so they took it back, refunded my huge amount of money! Had I bought it at a Prada boutique I would of been stuck with it. I know they repair, but it would happen again, Makes me only want to ever buy a bag at either Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom where they stand behind what they sell !!

LV MM Neverfull in DE. When they changed the model I ran out to get the mono but they were sold out across the country so I settled on the DE because I wanted the flower pattern on the inside. The handles are too stiff and its uncomfortable to hold. I feel like I'm carrying dead weight around so it mainly stays in the trunk while I use the DE pochette to carry necessities. Also wish I had bought that in Mono. No DE ever again.

MK suede tote with fringe. What a piece of crap. BF bought it for me because I like purple. The material was so cheaply made. It felt very rough. Could never find anything inside. I compared it to looking for your stuff inside a pillow case. The bag collapsed in on itself making it almost impossible to find anything. Used it once and sold it for what he paid ( thank goodness), and felt sorry for the person I sold it to!

I just returned two Rebecca Minkoff Cupid satchels due to quality issues. I shouldn't have ordered the second one, AND should have known better after reading all the posts on this, but I guess I had to see for myself. What a pretty, practical bag, but alas they are mass produced in China and even the brand new ones have defects (cracking leather, hardware problems). Very disappointing since I love the style so much, but I'm done with RM.

Chanel's Grand Shopping Tote. Pretty, but the darn thing keep slipping off my shoulder and it feels like wearing a cardboard box. I have to keep a hand on my shoulder to hold the chains and pads in place. So annoying. I would not buy another.
