What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

Botkier Sasha. The bag is functional, and it's great that you can wear it 2 ways but the leather wears so fast, I was so disappointed in how faded the leather became after a few months. I will never buy Botkier again.

Dooney small Chiara...too small. The handles are just not a good size and the magnet closure is much to strong (takes both hands to open. pita!). The lining is not good either, it reminds me of sofa fabric from the 70's (stiff and itchy). The zipper on the inner section is ridiculously stiff and refuses to ease even with a lot of zipping-unzipping. I bought this bag from the website sight unseen four years ago and have carried it a total of five times. One good thing is that I have learned to never buy any bag without first checking it out in the store.

Any bag with shoulder strap/s shorter than 11". You don't know how many beautiful bags I've had to give up on because it wouldn't go over, or stay, on my shoulder :(

My most disappointing bag purchase is my Stella McCartney Falabella in black shaggy deer. I don't regret buying it and use it quite a bit, but it's my least favourite bag in my collection. Even though buying it was a well-thought out decision and I loved it at first, I've come to realise it's really heavy and looks like a posh bin bag :P

I don't want to say "disappointing" because I still love the bag's shape and color and the way it carries, but my Balenciaga City. I am so disappointed about the inside! No cell phone pocket or key tab or anything. I find that all my stuff gets jumbled together at the bottom. I guess I need inside pockets.:shrugs: I don't carry it often now because of the pocket issue.

Add me to the BAL City list! My first BAL was the City GSH in Black and when I got it, purchased online from Neiman Marcus during black friday deals, I was shocked by the quality of the leather. It was dry, papery-thin, and felt like onion skin. I loved the style but the leather had me doubting the bag's worthiness. After about a week, I took it back.

Also, like vickimouse, the lack of inside slip pockets was another thing that I didn't like but I could have lived with that. But the leather was unacceptable for the price tag. What's really odd is that I ended up getting both a BAL Daybag and the Velo and both of them had FANTASTIC leather (buttery, thick, wrinkled/distressed yes, but not dead like the City's), which is good but puzzles me. :shrugs:

Oh, vickimouse, maybe you can get an inside purse organizer.

Yeah that's the tough thing about bal -- there have been some not so nice leathers, but they've started getting better again in recent seasons. The leather on these bags really varies bag by bag. The city & velo are still my fav bags though!

The biggest handbag disappointment I've had, would have to be the Burberry check canvas tote. The first day it was completely stained with denim from being carried when i was wearing jeans, and it would not come out with nothing! Never wore it again simply got rid of it.
