What's the first handbag you ever had?

Small Miu Miu Vitello lux in black cracked leather. It was a gorgeous little bag but did not hold up well at all. Lesson learned!

My first bag whas a Carolina Herrera Patchwork, and I bought it pre-loved!
It was my very first tote and I paid it with my first paycheck when I was 18.

My very first designer bag was the Gucci Marmont flap bag in the size small black. It was an impulse buy. I had a wishlist and was supposed to buy a speedy 30 but then found out Gucci was raising their prices so I hurried up and purchased it. I am now thinking of selling it for the same bag in the nude color size medium or for a Chanel jumbo black ghw. Not sure yet. I love that I can come here and talk about my love for handbags and not get judged. I love this forum!

My first Designer handbag was a Burberry wool satchel in khaki. Bought it on a very hot day at the outlets in Las Vegas when I was 21. My mom was feeling lucky and so was I because she was generous enough to buy it for me. This was 2001 and that bag was under $200. Back then, I wasn’t savvy enough to know where and when to look for luxury discounts and didn’t trust ebay.

The first branded bag I ever got was a used, old Longchamp I found at a thrift store for 5 bucks.
It wasn't even my style at the time (dark blue leather and small) but I so wish I still had it!
The first designer bag I bought from the boutique is my Michael Kors Emery bag in cherry.

The first "bag" I ever had was actually a largish kisslock coin purse in navy blue faux leather - I was 4, totally loved it - even though the strap was held on by a safety pin on one side, I wish I still had it Then by 7 I had a pink plasticy Barbie shoulder bag. Then I had bags from TJ Maxx or Ross, but not even memorable - just functional. The first bag I got for wowing me was actually a Sondra Roberts bag I found at a boutique - floral tapestry printed "velvet" with burgundy snake embossed faux leather trim and chunky silver chain strap. I didn't buy it the first time I saw it, as I thought it cost too much (ha! I cant remember how much it was, but surely far less than I have spent since), then I wandered back more than a year later, and they still had the bag - on sale. It was still extremely expensive in my opinion at that time, since I only paid about $15 max on bags prior to that - but it was on sale, and I still really loved that bag, so I got it.

My very first designer bag was a Gianni Versace black backpack ! of which I have completely forgotten about and not used in ....years! Its a vintage bag now!
