First Coach for me was a drawstring style in Bone. I ended up giving it to my sister...

Still like the Legacy leather from 2006-2007. Except for a few accessory pieces, it's leather all the way for me.

i havent been hunting and gathering coach for very long.

my first purchase was the black/gray op art maggie sateen fabric bag. i still love her, but want to collect more leather pieces now.

My first was back when I worked at Coach. Probably around 2003? Anyway it was a suede Market Tote. Which was immediately followed by a whole bunch of Coach bags. :D
I sold most of my collection but now I'm back to collecting Coach. Mostly leather but some signature too. :smile1:

My first Coach bag was the red patent MFF ergo hobo. I still love that bag. I now have the one patent leather, two leather, and one Poppy. I'm trying to make my collection varied. This first purchase was only a few years ago so my taste has remained similar.

My first Coach was an Ergo framed satchel in patent pink leather. I was enabled by a fellow TPFer here. It was also my first purchase from eBay so i was really trilled about the whole thing. :)

I still love the whole Ergo range and also managed to score a few more Ergos
from eBay. I have learnt to appreciate evergreen models like hobos, Kristins and Zoes. I have 2 signature bags but my heart stays true to full leather still. :)

Hi there - been lurking here for a while but this is my first post.

My first Coach was a gift from my daughter 3 years ago - a Soho hobo, black leather. I had spent the first humptythree years of my life philosophically opposed to expensive handbags and all it took was cradling that little baby for 5 minutes to get me hooked. :p Daughter knew I couldn't carry a large bag any more due to some tendinitis issues in my elbows and shoulder so thought the smaller hobo would be perfect for me. And it was/is! I carried it every day for over 2 years.

Last spring hubby treated me to a black Hamptons signature carry-all -I love the "lady-ness" of the shape and the structure and the whole grown-up handbag thing. He also got me a wallet in the same print - I don't know the name but it's a smaller square wallet with a kisslock coin purse area? Love it but I may need to move up to a bigger wallet. Oh... dear... that's too bad.:graucho: I also got a pink valet keychain which I cannot live without, it's the best keychain EVER.

Since then I've added another Hamptons signature carry-all in tan - I found her at a flea market and bargained for $25. She's used with a few marks on her lil bottom but she's beautiful and classic. I recently got a turquoise Etro which I adore, and got for a steal at an outlet. I carried her all fall till I got an East-West Ocelot tote in brown - I have promised myself no more black bags.

But I still love my first hobo and I think I'll start carrying her again in a few weeks, just to show her some love. And then when I finally find the denim patchwork Carly I've been searching for, she'll forgive me.

My first was the aubergine siggy Zoe and she is still one of my favorites. I only started buying Coach about a year and a half ago and my taste hasn't changed that much. I have started buying other brands besides Coach though, mostly because their bags have gotten so much bigger lately and don't shoot me but I don't like Sophia (not a satchel gal).

welcome to TPF!

My first Coach was from my dad and step-mom when I was 12. I was in 7th grade, Christmas of 1989. It was the black leather Court bag. I carried it forEVER, like two years straight at least. I foolishly sold it about 6 years ago and regret it terribly now. It looked brand new the day I sold it, like it had no wear at all. Crazy how amazing the quality was back then.

My taste in bags has changed only in the fact that I like bigger bags now, and have branched out into buying colors, instead of just black and brown bags. I still prefer leather, but will occasionally buy something siggy, but I am very particular about it. Has to look a certain way, be the right color combo, etc, or it's strictly leather for me!

The first time I ever heard of Coach was in 1992 when a new friend asked if my bag (a Tignanello ) was a Coach.... then she told me how she loves Dooney bags (I also had never heard of them).
My Tignanllo did look just like a Coach so I guess I loved Coach even before I knew it existed :).

My first real Coach was a thrift find. I still have it and it looks great. My 17 yr old daughter carries it now.

ID #9978... not my pic tho....

I loved Coach since high school, but was never able to get one. A lot of girls in my high school carried Gucci or LV, but there were a few who carried Coach. I wanted a Coach in what I now know is British Tan. I just loved the look of it. I still do!
My first Coach was a Willis-in British Tan of course. It was a Christmas gift from my ( now ) ex in 2004. I've now got leather and Siggy/ Op Art bags. My husband has bought me all of my bags, except for one. I'm hinting at a patent leather bag for Christmas this year. ( Pink patent new-to-me Zoe or Kristin Baby Sage )
