Whoops! I clicked on the wrong thing. I was supposed to vote for "Patent Leather" and I accidently clicked "PVC" for my first bag.

My first Coach bag was a Leah in patent leather. I got it back in April of this year from an outlet while on vacation. I've been hooked on Coach ever since and now have 8 bags and numerous accessories made from various materials. I'm still in the "try it all" stage, but I think that I'm definately partial to leather! I still like patent leather too. Siggy and PVC is okay, but it is not my first (or second) choice. It does seem to be what dh picks out for me when he picks a bag out for me on his own, probably because of the lower price point lol, so I will continue to use those bags that I get as gifts but I can see myself buying mostly leather with the occasion patent leather in the future. Or sequins! I don't have one of those yet. lol.

My first was a large signature black leather flap Bleecker. Can't believe I paid full price for that thing (before I knew about PCE). I woudl not buy signature any longer. I don't like the C's so prevalent. I do have a black sig. Sabrina but the C's are not in your face.

my first was a black signature poppy i received last Christmas. i like it the best cause you cant really see the "c's" cause they too are black only slightly a shade lighter

My first was a brown siggie hampton satchel, on sale at Dillards. I went in to get a D&B red leather bag, and bought a Coach for the first time. Funny cause I never liked siggy bags in any brand, it was my first. It gets lots of compliments yet, tons of people love siggies. But, I have preferred leather for years, my last purchase a studded Alexandra

My first bag was way way back and it is now a classic...Janice. I then started carrying Coach again and in 2002 (?) and it was a milstone black pebbled hobo. I don't have it any more as it got to small for my taste but I do have many of my older bags...including that Janice. Always been a leather girl

My first Coach was the large leather duffel in beautiful red leather. I got it for Christmas 10 years ago and still have it. I thought it was the coolest because you could wear it 2 ways by doubling up the shoulder strap. That bag was a dream come true for me.. I could never imagine affording $298.00 on a handbag. I remember admiring Coach bags when I was in High School working at Ivey's Department Store in Charlotte NC in the 70's making less than 3 bucks an hour. I have always loved their leather. They seem to have perfected the process. I have about a dozen Coaches currently and have recently started collecting vintage pieces... particularly the Maddison Kelly style that was made in Italy.

I started a year ago on the bay, bought a black perfect Murphy! It's a little small for an everyday purse for me.

Now I'm a bit embarrassed at how many I have and paid way too much for some of them esp. when I see some of the deals that only ship to the US :sob:

Still go for the leather styles but newer, like less than 5 yrs old :p

I have three Coach bags that all date back to the 70's and 80's! My grandmother bought me my first one, a dark brown city bag when I was 16, she believed in quality, but thought my first "real" bag should be something simple and classic. To my family, escapees of the dust bowl, cotton pickers, etc. Coach was big time designer!
My mother was an antiques dealer and gave me first pick of any purses, shoes and scarves, so I have two other bags from the 80's (they are in Australia, waiting to be shipped to me, so I can't remember which) and one highly suspect canvas LV bag, lol. I used to have an Hermes scarf, but I loaned it my ex-sister-in-law when she wanted to impress a Dr she was dating and never got it back.
We have moved back to the US and are having a hard time right now, so everything I had that was worth a plugged nickel has been sold off. Now that my husband has permanent residency and can work things will pick back up for us and I can replace what I lost. I will do an intro post on my choices, should I?

My first Coach bag was given to me by my bf. It was a small flap hobo with suede lining... Since then, I've upgraded to bigger bags, still a few signatures but I definitely love the leathers now :)

Mine was a Signature Clip Hobo in Pink signature with light camel leather trim and silver hardware. I had never paid attention to Coach (I worked at a clothing store next door!) until someone "accidentally" left the latest catalog on my counter (Spring 2003, for those interested). I had to have that bag! It was sold out, so I called 17 stores until I found one where a customer had not moments earlier returned my bag. The rest is Coach history.

my first coach was a (mostly) signature with a leather bottom hobo bag, and i know its not everyones preference, but i just love their signature bags. i think all my coach bags, except one wristlet, are all signature.

My first "Coach" was a yardsale knock off...LOL...After I came here and learned of my mistake, I went to the outlets and bought a Signature Satchel.

After using that bag only a few times, I got rid of it (could never find anything in it...LOL) and bought a MFF tote type bag.

As of right now I'm not too concerned about siggy bags. At first that was all I wanted but now, I just buy what I like. I love black so I do like to wear black/white/gray siggy with black. Also I was liking big bags, but right now I am loving my swing pack.

ETA: I also have a soft spot for Poppy
