My first Coach bag was a black leather Legacy slim tote (MFF) with bright fushia lining. I adored it! My taste hasn't changed at all. I loved the Legacy, Hamptons, and Kristin lines. I am wanting to try a satchel but I still love the classic leather look, simple, and gorgous. I am not into siggies at all.

My first was my black on black signature NS gallery tote. It was only about a year ago and I still love that bag but I have a pebbled mahogany shoulder tote and my new black patent XL zoe that I ADORE so I'm definitely much more interested in patent/leather than signature now. Great question!
Thank you:) One of my favorite SA's has the same patent xl zoe as yours and it is Gorgeous and huge.Like she says, living in New England, a patent bag is a must to get through the winters we have.:smile1:

I got 2 "first bags"... I bought them together on the same day, the first time I ever went to Coach.

I still prefer leather over other materials, but now I go for larger bags, more "accessible" exterior pockets, and a longer shoulder strap if possible. The only Coach bag I have that is not leather is a briefcase, which is black signature.

My first Coach bag was bought in the early '90s - it was a beautiful walnut color drawstring hobo bag. While I still love leather and still love walnut and still love hobos, I found the drawstring hard to get into...and I love much bigger bags now. If I was looking for a bag for the same reasons I bought my original bag, I would probably get a Hamptons XL Hobo in Walnut now...so some things don't completely change

My first coach bag was a cute khaki hamptons siggy hobo. Can't remember the style number though. I like leather now. I don't have it anymore

Found picture elsewhere of a similar bag. (NMA, NMP)

Thank's Lynne!!!You also have such a well chosen collection!!!!I love how you blame it on *the devil* when you get a new bag...Too funny, but in a sweet way;)

I know ~~ Nordstrom and Brad (aka the devil) are hard to resist!!! He has put me on a bag ban for right now. That pretty much lasts only a week because I always see something new in Coach and he lets me buy it!!! LOL

Lynne :D

I also had 2 first Coach purses, bought at the outlet. Both were signature: Carly & a Denim Lily. This was 2 1/2 years ago. I gave the Carly to a niece & still have the Lily.

Now I buy only leather.

My first was the espresso mini-shopper Lindsay. I have all Legacy bags now....3 gigis, 2 #10330 satchels, 2 Lily's. I think the Legacy leather is incredible and have tried many other leather Coach bags...nothing compares to Legacy leather.

OMG.....my first Coach was a City Bag in 1986 or so. Then I switched to Dooney & Bourke before "coming home" to Coach about a year and a half ago. I still have my City Bag - it was a gift from my parents so I will NEVER part with it, poor beaten to death bag that it is.

STUNNING bags BVB!!!!!!!!!! *wipes away the drool*

My first bag was a mahogany leather Large Soho hobo with nickle hardware, like this one but without a braided handle. I wish it did have the braided handle. I eventually sold it.

I still love hobos and I still love leather bags! I have also bought all kinds of others in between. I have a mix of leather and fabric bags.

My first Coach bag was the Summer Patchwork Carly of 2007 I believe... I walked by Nordstrom's one day and noticed her for the first time, I had no idea what Coach was, I had no idea about handbags in general. When I looked at the price tag I almost got a heart attack lol. I put her back safely and walked out, never thinking I'd be able to spend so much money on a single bag ($398FP I think?).

A couple of days later i got into a serious fight with DH and was really upset... I kept thinking on how I could get over this awful time and make him a little mad and myself a little happier (lol) - so I decided to do a major splurge bkz I didn't care about how much it was at that moment (all i'm thinking now is: thank god that wasn't a chanel standing there or i'd be in serious trouble now lol) The rest is history! I became a junkie within a month! The funny thing is that DH is supporting my habits instead of saying I'm crazy. win win. :)

My first bag was a khaki/sand medium parker hippie, a beautiful bag but my tastes have changed. I now prefer leather bags and bigger bags. Another change is that I am not afraid of color so I don't just own neutral bags anymore!
