My first was a black crinkle patent leather Peyton Inlaid C. It's a drawstring bag. I'd just sold a bunch of broken gold jewelry and made a ton. I had to pay FP for it and the matching flats. I still have them. I quickly learned about PCE though. I made several "WTH was I thinking" purchases between then and now. A couple were faddish, but for the most part I've gotten things that are either classic or go really well with my wardrobe. Although, since being laid off/retired, my wardrobe tends towards jeans - and what doesn't go with that?! I'm jonesing for a black borough or a cooper satchel (the one with the front pocket).

My first was a mini signature soho satchel. I purchased it full price at Macy's when I was in college. Now I prefer leather bags, nothing against signature but I just don't find myself gravitating towards it anymore.

My first Coach bag was the very classic City Bag in Mahogany, a very rich dark brown. It cost $126., and I remember that I felt horrified/guilty about spending so much on a bag! This was when Coach made bags of a beautiful thick leather with no interior lining, just leather. I loved that bag and still have it, as I have kept all my Coach bags. My taste in bags really hasn't changed much. I still prefer a well-made quality leather bag over other materials, am not too fond of siggies or fabrics. Overall, considering the prices of Coach today, I should consider that first bag a bargain!! :giggles:
