My regret is a cream Kooba Scarlett I bought at a sample sale a few years ago. I never took the tags off and it has just been sitting in my closet in its dustbag since then. It's way too small to hold the amount of stuff I carry everyday.

I let someone at the sale talk me out of buying the cream Sienna I actually went to the sale for and intended to buy because it looked "too big" on me (I'm only 5'1") and the Scarlett was $75 cheaper. Lesson learned!

I impulsed bought a Coach Amanda in black. But I also have the Coach Sabrina. The only regret is that I didn't consider the fact that the Amanda is satin. At least I didn't impulse the bright pink or grey one. That would be more of a pain to worry about with not only snagging but stains as well.

But I get so much more compliments on the Amanda than the Sabrina. :/ It's a sort of regret?

I also bought two bags at 70% off a few months back. One was a Chloe and the other a Valentino (not the histoire which I kept!) that were stupid purchases. Fortunately, I was able to return to dept. store - I think Nordstroms and got full refund. As much as I sometimes want an LV rose neverful - I know I will be posting here in 6 months that I regret it. So I'm not buying a roses bag!

My LV Denim Chinchilla Demi Lune...my most expensive bag (as in, $3600+).
I got it and liked it at the time, but it's not a bag I can use very often, so I don't use it, it just sits.
And it's impossible to sell right now, I've tried MANY times since last year, so when I see it, I just look at it and think of what else I could have used that money on. :nogood:

It might make you feel better to know that I bought a cream Sienna myself and it was toast in a question of a month (and I baby my bags). The whipstitching broke in several places and one of the studs fell out of the handles! :cursing:

So consider yourself lucky. ;)

Thanks so much for trying to make me feel better about my bag regret Loquita :flowers: But I'm sorry to learn that your Kooba Sienna fell apart like that, especially in such a short period of time!

Generally my regrets are with cheap bags. I occasionally succumb to Target though the Hayden-Harnett bag I got is doing ok. The Gryson Hannah was a mistake for me. It was soo pretty and the leather was so nice looking but I was never comfortable with it and got rid of it.

No worries!! I still think it's the prettiest bag that Kooba has ever made...but I have yet to buy another bag from that brand. :p

And at least I got a bit of money off of it through consignment!

Ummmm...

1. My Tokidoki Le Sportsac - I am entirely too old for that bag. At the time though, I HAD TO HAVE IT!!!!!!!! I was in Macy's for hours searching for the best print. I have carried that bag all of one time - with a pink Bebe jogging suit that I also no longer wear. Waste of $$. It is now sitting in my closet collecting dust.

2. Cole Haan Leather and Linen bag. It was cream and winter white. Between denim transfer and the elements, I ruined it in 3 carries. KNOWING I'm bad with light colors. DEEEEEP in back of closet.

3. Dooney & Bourke signature hobo. I was in love with it for all of about 5 weeks. I fell out of love with hobos and monograms and haven't used it since. DEEEEEP in back of closet.

4. Dooney & Bourke Nile Collection bag. HUGE & HEAVY and yet NOWHERE CONVENIENT TO PUT ANYTHING!!!!!!! Another waste of $$$. In Closet.

5. Louis Vuitton Speedy 30. Too darn small. Period. Gone.

6. Louis Vuitton Mini Lin Croisette Speedy in blue. TOO LIGHT. (I keep trying with these light bags...) It is now tinged with denim as I STAY in denim. I still love it, I've just kind of ruined it a lil' bit... I"m still carrying (it's in the current rotation) but I'm TRYING to be more careful.

7. Matt & Nat tote - tried to go vegan. Bought it and loved it... it just took me 100 years to get in and out of it with all the pockets and snaps and whatnot. Gone.

... I'm sure I have more, but looking at all this wasted money is making me :(

I have plenty of bags that maybe I don't use at the moment and maybe I'd rather not have them laying around (yet can't part with them for sentiment) but I can't say that I regret buying them, they were the right buy for the time and got their use....

Vintage red coated canvas Fendi satchel. I scored it at the bottom of a thrift store bin and what do you know? It's authentic! And six bucks!
Oh yeah, and it leaves RED EVERYWHERE! I'm thinking I might just shellac it or something. It looks really cool, though.

I also bought this enormous leather briefcase for five bucks. The strap is long, long, long and it's super-heavy. Inside there was an unopened box of kotex, a copy of the New Yorker, a bunch of paper clips, a king's ransom in staples, and about a buck-something in change. I've used it a couple times but it's so cumbersome. I can't cross it over my body but if I carry it on one shoulder I'll be walking at a 90 degree angle in a year.
But I love it. The leather is thick and worn just right. It makes a great bag to throw a bunch of art stuff in.
Oh, this briefcase will be the death of me.

I can't say I regret them, though. They're just mildly inconvenient.
