I'm going to add any bag I've bought as an interim option to close a wardrobe gap while I hunted for the right bag. Here are a few recent examples.
#1: I bought a no name caramel faux leather bag from Windsor while shopping with my daughter. What in the unholy ham sandwich was I thinking? While I respect anyone's right to do so, I don't wear fake leather bags. I've never worn this bag and can't offload it on eBay. Luckily it was cheap...as it should have been. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
I actually like the look of this bag. If I could find out what it is a knock of of, I'd buy the original.
# 2: I wear a lot of white gold and need a silver (non evening) handbag. So I bought this Kate Spade Gold Coast Margot. I have really tried to be content with this bag as I search for the ever elusive silver handbag of my dreams. But, despite my efforts, I have an unreasonable and irrational hatred for this bag. Intellectually I know it's probably cute. But, every time I see it in my closet I want to shoot it.
#3: This last bag is actually a keeper but not as expected. I needed a black leather SHW casual bag so I bought this Michael Kors Leigh. Let me say this bag is DURABLE. I've mistreated this bag in every way possible and it looks new. I throw it down on the floor of beer & peanut shell laden baseball stadiums and it wipes up to look pristine!
I've "replaced" this bag with a new
Prada calf leather top handle / crossbody bag and pre-loved Chanel Ultimate Soft. I ADORE my 2 new bags but this MK bag has earned my respect and will stay in my closet for times I need a bag with both style and grit.
BUT!!! That all being said, no more "interim" bags. I just need to be more creative with my current handbags until I find the perfect new handbag.
