So, I’ve always wanted to eventually get a pear shaped diamond ring, but I didn’t expect that I would end up down this route…

When I was back home visiting family during Eid, my mother was going through her jewellery collection, some of her pieces I had never really seen before. One of the pieces was a yellow gold pendant necklace with a pear shaped diamond centre.

Whilst I was admiring it, my mum unexpectedly said I could have it, as she hadn’t worn necklaces for years after wearing the hijab, and she knew how much I loved diamonds lol. Only proviso was that I didn’t let my sister know. LOL!

I ended up having the diamond re-set into a platinum ring with pave shoulders and a hidden halo. It was finally ready, and I’m so thrilled with it now!

I traded in the gold from the necklace and used the proceeds to get my mum a new gold bracelet before I arranged for the ring to be set, one good turn deserves another I would say lol. She’d get so much more use out of that in any case.

Anyway, here’s my new diamond acquisition!

Edit: OMG my apologies for the un-moisturised hands! I could give an alligator a run for its money and turn them into handbags at this point!

I wore it today with my Ceylon sapphire ring which was gifted by my late dad. I can say that I have a tribute of both my parents on my hands today!

Thank you both! It's certainly sweeter knowing there's sentimental value behind them as well.

I'd like to think my jewellery collection is heading towards completion...

Thank you!

To be honest, my mum is not the most sentimental person when it comes to jewellery, especially her gold pieces. Half the time when I've come to visit for Eid, she's got new pieces, and when I ask her what happened to the gold I bought her, she goes, oh, I traded it in with a few others to upgrade to this new piece! LOL.

Gotta love her honesty!

Speaking of colored gemstones (I don’t have much at all), I finally ordered a Lisa Eldridge ring since I’ve been wanting one ever since she launched her jewelry collection. I love everything about her and I happen to love low set stones with an open basket setting so they are literally perfection to me. For my birthday DH got me the Anderson cushion ring, it’s a lovely saturated green chartreuse peridot and all of her stones are old cut for a subtle sparkle. Lisa has been wearing these style rings for decades as part of her signature style and they make such a nice clinking sound when stacked together while she does someone’s makeup. Sorry for gushing I’m clearly just obsessed. I can’t wait to collect some of the other stones to stack with as well.

This is beautiful and it looks fantastic on you! Did you end up purchasing more of Lisa's rings? I'm curious if the big stones stack well with the baby versions.

Hi sorry I just got back on the forum to see this message! Thank you for your kind comments, I haven’t bought more yet but they’re on my wishlist! I feel like I’ve seen Lisa wear her big ones stacked with a small one but can’t recall which of her videos it’s in. You could try just looking through her YouTube videos to see if she wears them together but I feel like they look very nice stacked!

I commissioned an Irene Neuwirth pet portrait pendant of my dog.

I absolutely adore it. It’s rose gold with a grey MOP background. It is absolutely extraordinary.

BTW, Taylor Swift has an IN pet portrait pendant of her cat.
I love it on you and you will always have your dog with you now. If we could always be the people our pets see in us. I have considered having this done and but never committed to it. I love the customization she does with these pieces with the halo. You have the greatest pieces!
