BigAkoya, thank you for sharing your story, that was fantastic and so heartwarming! Really, really lovely.
I also had a lot of diamonds from pieces I wasn’t wearing any more…jeweler designed these to incorporate everything…I did have to buy one more pear-shape though. They turned out beautifully! I call them my Frankenstein earrings :)

Just to share some pieces my friends and I tried at a recent Prada fine jewellery launch event. At first I was quite sceptical of a fashion brand’s new foray into real jewellery, but apparently the designers came from Cartier and Bvlgari.

Some of the lead designers were at the event and personally explained the concepts behind the pieces. While the aesthetic is not really my style, I have to say the craftsmanship (Italian hand made) is very impressive.

I think the best feature of the collection is that the pieces are fully customisable. For instance pave stones (diamond and coloured stones such as sapphire) can be added to pieces in unexpected ways, and the designers were very open to understanding what the clients want.

Thanks for sharing. The pieces are pretty but quite reminiscent of the Serpent and I get Graff-vibes. I like the idea of the triangle rings but this derivation looks too Super Bowl-ring to me. It will be interesting to see where they go in the next several years as their fine jewelry finds it’s own identity.

Just curious.

Has anyone here ever acquired jewellery pieces from K. S. Sze & Sons located in Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong?

Do they have affordable pieces? What's the experience like for you?

Im a client of VCA in Place Vendome , as I used to live a few minutes walk away.
Apart from that, I know very well the company which supplies them with fancy colour diamonds.
I have been a client since my late teens of Graff, Harry Winston and Boodles-I collect high jewellery, specialising in coloured diamonds (I have an FGA qualification) although I don’t wear the most valuable ones on a daily basis although most of my jewellery is Graff or Boodles.

I like Briony Raymond

i like her heritage pieces, and thought this was interesting ( vintage VCA)
but ultimately not for me.
