Hi Cayman, your Chanel Comete bracelet looks beautiful. Would love to see your modeling photo (if you don't mind). :flowers:
I am sure it looks beautifully on you. :flowers:

Yes, @cayman718 I second the request to see a modelling shot! I haven’t seen this piece before and it looks just so romantic
Modeling pics as requested. @chiaoapple I’m glad you posted about Chanel because it’s a reminder for me to wear this piece more often. Chanel also made a matching opera length necklace which I have seen in person but did not get.

The Chanel fine jewellery line does not seem to be popular but I find myself looking at their designs more and more… My first piece was the WG coco crush bracelet with a sprinkling of teeny diamonds, and when I went to buy the same design in YG (I seem to have a compulsion for getting the same bracelet in both YG and WG where possible), my SA showed me the WG pave which honestly made me gasp. The sparkle is just so pretty in person, and the quilting pattern whilst subtle, does seem to play into how the bracelet seems different than a regular pave item. My size would need to be ordered with 6 month production time, but had my friend who had the right wrist size try on as well and it looked amazing (last pic). It’s so beautiful and I have been thinking about it all weekend…!

oh i love the WG one with sprinkles of diamonds! It brings out the quilt design very well.

How are the scratches on this bangle though? I have the WG coco crush ring, the scratches on it are not even funny. Lol

I haven’t noticed any scratches actuallly! Granted I don’t wear it a lot because I like rotating my pieces. Would love to see modelling pics of your coco crush ring

Ah i wear it a lot! And i think rings may garner the most scratches, followed by bangles..

I like to wear mine like this@ , or sometimes by itself

Pardon my "naked" nail look, nail polishes just make my nails too dry and yellow lol.

I bought this book, The History of Jewelry: Joseph Saidian & Sons. It is a great book about historical high jewelry pieces purchased & resold by this company. However, what was more interesting is that I realized Joseph Saidian & Sons is an antique jewelry company that specializes in luxury brand such as Jar, Boucheron, Buccellati, Harry Winston, and of course VCA.

They are based in NYC, but they have a website. They have gorgeous pieces, very old world glamour.
Here is the link to their VCA page (beautiful turquoise pieces, love the bracelet):

I am sure the company is legit given their long history. However, I am always a bit worried some antique jewelers will swap out original stones that are abraded and replace them with stones that are newly polished. Or, they might even fake a few pieces; hence, I am still chicken and have not purchased any "used jewelry" at this point.

For those of you who have experience in purchasing antique jewelry, have you purchased from this company before? Any thoughts?

For locals, the store is on 55th & 2nd, just a 15 minute walk from VCA if you care to venture out and take a peek.
