What Other Jewelry Brands Do You Buy/Wear?

I bought this book, The History of Jewelry: Joseph Saidian & Sons. It is a great book about historical high jewelry pieces purchased & resold by this company. However, what was more interesting is that I realized Joseph Saidian & Sons is an antique jewelry company that specializes in luxury brand such as Jar, Boucheron, Buccellati, Harry Winston, and of course VCA.

They are based in NYC, but they have a website. They have gorgeous pieces, very old world glamour.
Here is the link to their VCA page (beautiful turquoise pieces, love the bracelet):

I am sure the company is legit given their long history. However, I am always a bit worried some antique jewelers will swap out original stones that are abraded and replace them with stones that are newly polished. Or, they might even fake a few pieces; hence, I am still chicken and have not purchased any "used jewelry" at this point.

For those of you who have experience in purchasing antique jewelry, have you purchased from this company before? Any thoughts?

For locals, the store is on 55th & 2nd, just a 15 minute walk from VCA if you care to venture out and take a peek.
Thank you for sharing the link! I adore seeing all the vintage pieces! (That turquoise and diamond bracelet is just beyond!)

I went to the site. They have some interesting pieces. The VCA band ring is a good price, but not in my size.

Speaking of colored gemstones (I don’t have much at all), I finally ordered a Lisa Eldridge ring since I’ve been wanting one ever since she launched her jewelry collection. I love everything about her and I happen to love low set stones with an open basket setting so they are literally perfection to me. For my birthday DH got me the Anderson cushion ring, it’s a lovely saturated green chartreuse peridot and all of her stones are old cut for a subtle sparkle. Lisa has been wearing these style rings for decades as part of her signature style and they make such a nice clinking sound when stacked together while she does someone’s makeup. Sorry for gushing I’m clearly just obsessed. I can’t wait to collect some of the other stones to stack with as well.

The Chanel fine jewellery line does not seem to be popular but I find myself looking at their designs more and more… My first piece was the WG coco crush bracelet with a sprinkling of teeny diamonds, and when I went to buy the same design in YG (I seem to have a compulsion for getting the same bracelet in both YG and WG where possible), my SA showed me the WG pave which honestly made me gasp. The sparkle is just so pretty in person, and the quilting pattern whilst subtle, does seem to play into how the bracelet seems different than a regular pave item. My size would need to be ordered with 6 month production time, but had my friend who had the right wrist size try on as well and it looked amazing (last pic). It’s so beautiful and I have been thinking about it all weekend…!

@tenshix, congrats! You should be hand model!

Thank you dear! Gosh you’re too generous, my hands are nowhere near as picturesque as @eternallove4bag and the other ladies here!

I’m also totally loving your stunning new sapphire ring, I’ve been wanting a bigger sapphire stone but don’t know where to start and which color I should go with. Really loving the idea of a cocktail ring similar to Princess Diana’s sapphire ring design.

From my local jeweller, Sapphire ring 3.6carat with 2- heart shape diamonds, 0.4carat each. Anniversary gift…

The color changes depending on lighting, can’t stop staring at it.

Omg ladies, you are killing me with your gorgeous colored gems rings @tenshix @LVmom Congrats both of you on these amazing additions!
I have always loved colored gems myself (a love passed down from my mom), and after seeing these gorgeous pics of you two I want to take mine out and wear them pronto! These colored gems add that extra punch imo.
