What is the most that you'd spend on a handbag?

The Hermes Birkin I bought retail for $7400...gulp.... I've since sold it because of the weight and purchased the perfect Hermes Kelly in my avatar, very slightly used for $4750.

I've yet to break the $500 mark, though I came close with my double-pocket Edith (purchased on clearance). I don't know if want to pay more than $500 for a bag, though I'm sure I will at some point. I'm pretty hopeless.

$875 for a Louis Vuitton Tulum PM on eBay. I've always said that I would never ever break the $750 mark but I just couldn't pass it up. It's in like-new condition and the price of LV's are just going to keep increasing, so that's why I bit the bullet. And it's sad but true, once you cross that imaginary line..any amount is possible (within reason of course)

no kidding! 6 years ago i would have fell over if i found out what i spent today! my biggest is the Prada
Nappa Gaufré Convertible Satchel at $2500 out the door. I it and thank heavens my DH didn't faint over that one.
