The most expensive bag I own is a $425 Dooney but I carry an $80 bag mostly. I get shopper's remorse very easily even if I LOVE something so its hard for me to justify to myself about a price above that. My DH is less remorseful ;)

I love love LOVE good deals! As much as I love designer handbags, it's still really hard for me to pay full price. I half want it really bad, but my other half says I'm wasting money or a whole paycheck on a bag! After a long longgg while, I usually end up buying it. I really love visiting the outlets for great deals though.

The most I've ever spent on a bag is about $500, so I believe that's my de facto limit. However, all the bags that I've purchased have been discounted in some way or another, so instead of a bright line limit, I seem to have a formula.
  1. I have to really love the bag. As in, "I keep looking at it online and debating whether I should buy it," love it.
  2. It has to be discounted in some way, usually via coupon code or sale.
  3. The price cannot exceed the "about $500" range.
Of course, I've always promised myself that I'd buy a Hermes if I ever get promoted to partner at my firm. We shall see what happens in many years.

last year, i wouldn't dare spend more than $100 on a bag, that said my most expensive bag last year was only about $ 80.


now i have 2 LV speedies, an LV pochette (not to mention LV accessories), marc by marc jacobs, YSL, and a balenciaga city. Since there is no balenciaga in my country, I had to buy mine from a seller, it cost me about $1,700. hands down my most expensive bag purchase......yet

:yes:Same here.
I :heart: a bargain and money saved is money I can spend somewhere else! With that stated, I would say my limit has been $600-$1000. If I REALLY was lusting after a bag I'd wait a season or 2 and try to get it at a better deal.;)

well....since i am a struggling college student i have never paid full price for any of my purses (except a dooney and bourke a few years back), but i fully intend to have some very nice handbags when i get out of college...lol...so there is no telling how much i will spend one day! the most i have piad is about $285...everything i get is on sale!

i thought i can't spend more than $200 on a purse.. but so far, my most expensive is $800+. im thinking of crossing that thousand dollar mark with a balenciaga.. but im still thinking.. really really hard.. haha!

Mine would be a Bubblegum Balenciaga first that cost me $2025 since it was all sold out and then I would have to say $1500 for a Chloe paddington... GEEZZZZZZZ this is just a break in the iceberg
