I just keep thinking about straps. It would be so much easier if they were adjustable, all of them. There are lots of cute ways to accomplish this. I think strap length or lack of frustrates me the most. Luckily there is a cobbler in town who helps me out but it would be great if I didn't need to do that in the first place.

This so much. I can no longer carry bags other than crossbody or backpack due to back pain. I am 5'7" I HATE when a crossbody ends up practically under my armpit. A 23" strap is not crossbody. It's a returned bag. Grrr.

I just thought of another one. Finding a small, cute bag that does not have multiple credit card slots. I think I'm the only person who hates this so I understand this is weird, but that feature really bugs me. For starters, I have my own full-sized wallet, a card holder, and a key pouch. Also, my six-key holder has a card slot. I don't need my handbag to act as a wallet! Also, when I'm on the go, I only need 2-3 cards at most; there is no point in having 4-10 credit card slots.

I blame the popularization of the Wallet on Chain/WOC that has made designers create nearly all their evening/event bags with these slots. If I wanted to use my clutch as a wallet, I'd bring my wallet. If there was a way for me to cut out those credit card slots and just have a small bag, I would totally do it.

Omg, same here. If there is just one I am fine. Or if it is super small - I can live with it to have more room. But a mid-sized bag? Or a small bag that easily fits a card case? It just hogs valuable space. I want to not forget I moved my cards into the bag and especially for a small bag - it is only getting used for a day.

I have a medium Fossil bag with card slots and the slots are too small for cards. What kind of crappy design is that. I went to some craft fair thing and tried to collect business cards and they didn’t fit. *smh*

Also - why do small bags have so many pockets now? 4 pockets means you have no space at all. I do not like a lot of compartments in general, but I have put down plenty of reasonably sized bags that couldn’t hold anything with all the card slots, zippers, etc.

I am not tall but have similar issues since I am both busty and chubby. I saw some great Mulberry bags that I needed to return due to short straps.

And what about the straps that dig in. Ugh. Or large bags with thin chain straps? That hurts when you put your stuff in!

Most frustrating thing for me is to always think about it how the price is going to drop once I take that bag out of the store with me . Feels like 90% of the luxury designer bags will drop its original retail price by 50% . It is truly frustrating to think about that .

Speaking of pockets, I hate the sizes of some of them! I have bags with inside pockets so small they might be able to hold 4 quarters or a few safety pins. Then there are some that *almost* fit your checkbook. I like outside pockets, but not when they are so hard to get into that I just give up. It would be easier to just put my keys IN the bag than use the pocket.
It seems like the people who design bags don't actually use bags.

My main frustration with luxury bag (especially leather) is how they tend to be on the heavy side. I get that they are made of sturdier material and this shows.

But my gawd, I wish they didn’t weigh so much! Main reason I have stuck with the classic (like the LV speedy in canvas) and haven’t ventured further afield.

^^
I agree with this. I guess a leather lining is nice but is it really necessary? I'd rather have a good, sturdy lighter lining than deal with a heavy bag.

Not all leather lined bags are heavy. I prefer leather when paying more. And some linings are quite cheaply made.

But I agree some bags are extraordinarily heavy. Usually the hardware is causing the problem.

I have been gravitating to smaller bags.

Haha, so true, so true!!! They should really all be adjustable- I hate taking them on/off, especially with long hair and tons of items/layers, especially because the length feels awkward!!!
Crossbody straps with no leash!!!
Tight zippers which get my skin cut/scratched!
Unnecessary CC slots which don't fit!!!
Pockets too small to be functional!!!
Pockets in a weird inaccessible place!!!
Bag straps which fall off shoulder!!!
Upright bags which keep falling over!!!
Bags with so much hangy bling which get caught on door handles!!!
Non-functional buckles!!!
Bags made of such a delicate material that you can't breathe on it (or pick it up, to not stain it, or actually put things IN it)
Super heavy bags which hurt to carry EMPTY (where's my pack mule?)

(Off the top of my head, of course... well, good thing, since IF all the bags I've loved then picked up to consider purchasing were in full-working-function, I'd be in the poor house!!!)

I want to add one more thing . When you search big brand bags online to try figure out which one you want . The style / model / colour you like is 9 times out of ten not available anymore on official websites or physical stores haha . And you are thinking should I buy one from reseller which you don’t even know if the bag is real or not .

Next time really should just go into the physical store and not searching online at all
