What do you think about men wearing heels?

What do you think about guys wearing heels?

  • I love the look!

  • I hate the look!

  • I think people should rock whatever they want!

  • I hope this doesn't catch on, I don't want my bf stealing my Manolos.

  • It looks OK on some guys, but not everyone can pull it off.

As long as they walk well who cares! I will admit I'm generally a bit jealous of anyone who can wear straight up 5" stilettos with no platforms (any platform above 2" is just vugly. VUGLY). The choice of shoe is a mother matter though.

I guess I would find it a bit unappealing, mainly because I think of heels as feminine and I prefer men to be masculine. But then the liberal me is saying anyone should feel free to wear what they like- heels don't define gender. Still, for me personally, I wouldn't like my boyfriend to wear heels. Perhaps that's a result of society's conditioning though.

I kind of want it to be a thing for a season or two, just so that men can develop a little empathy for what women's feet go through.

With that said, it's the rare man who could rock those shoes and it's probably a post 5pm thing for most.

I still think the original post pics were not the best to advocate guys in heels. Amazingly some brands are selling men's heels. YSL had the Jonny boot, Fluevog sells 4" heeled boots for men, Jeffery Campbell sells men's sizes of a few of his styles under The Damned label. I have no illusion it will ever be mainstream, but if it makes someone happy and does not hurt anyone why not let someone wear the shoes they like?

It's not like men wearing heels is some new trend. I mean there have been plenty of times through out history when wearing heels was as masculine as being a warrior. Men wore heels first, as a matter of fact, all the way back to the 9th century. It's weird how society changes on a whim and then people say things are "disgusting" for no reason, lol!

I think it's incredible sexy on the right guy! I would love shoe shopping with a boyfriend if he liked wearing heels. I'm happily married to a man who doesn't like wearing heels, but I like to look at pictures of men wearing heels. It does all the same flattering things to a man's body as a woman's, elongates the legs, lifts the butt, defines the calf muscles. I also think any man who feels comfortable wearing high heels probably has a fun confident personality that I would like. Anyway, I have always found it sexy, but I like men who wear a little make up too. I used to talk my boyfriends into letting me do their makeup and then make out with them! So fun! Even the biggest jocks I dated would let me put heels and makeup on them in secret!

Haha. This is awesome! I love a good smokey eye on a boy sometimes! Lol

Nope, nope, nope, NOPE! I hate the look. It doesn't matter that men wore heels in the past. Men also wore loin cloths, heavy religious robes, feathered headdresses and suits of armor. I don't want to see those "trends" come back either.

Men in heels look like a joke or a bad "statement". There are so many killer fashionable looks for men of every size, shape and style. Why would any man want to wear this which is unflattering and goofy looking?

While a bad photo of me is in the original post, here is a more recent one. I do know heels on guys will not be everyone's thing, but it does not hurt anyone (except for our feet).
