What do you ladies think of my new set?

You have an absolutely beautiful halo ring from a significant jewellery house bought by an obviously wonderful husband and you are one very lucky lady.

Wondering what your "friends" personal taste is jewellery could be.

Regarding the upgrade band. Both look great but are they both equally comfortable as a set? Will you wear the two pieces together or separately most of the time?

I think
Mostly together and yes they are both comfortable.

Im a makeup artist so i use my hands often and on busy days, i dont want to where my engagement ring coz its set high and also has a lot of details on the head that i dont want to damage the ring by using my hands with out care and banging it somewhere :(

To me, thin bands look dainty but too dainty
Thick band looks luxurious but too bulky?

So its hard :(!!

Help me!

You have an absolutely beautiful halo setting; don't let your rude "friend's" comment enter your mind when you look at it!

Not much help with the band width - they both look good!

Really tough Melow!

Dream job btw.

Can you go back to the store and try both rings again? Then try moving your hand is if you were working for a few minutes. If the thick band isn't noticeable you should be fine.

If you love it, stop worrying about what SHE thinks. SHE is not your friend. You're trying to rationalize why you should retain a relationship with someone who is clearly not a person worthy of your time. If you DON'T love it--regardless of what she thinks, take it back for something else.

I don't wear my rings to work, because I can't use my hands if I have rings on. And mine are not ornate. It's just not practical to wear rings and work with hands. Just take it off while you're working and put it in a ring box or silk pouch in your pocket or purse or something. Then put it back on when you finish. Or leave it home when you're working and wear a plain band on those days.

That's a lovely set and looks nothing like a cluster ring. I think it's time to tell your friend you heard her loud and clear, and now it's time for her to be quiet.

I recently had a horrible situation with my previous wedding set so
My husband went ahead and decided to give me a setting-upgrade..

So i picked this one out from tacori...

And i really loved it until my friend
Told me that it looks like a cluster ring and that she doesnt understand why i got this one...

It makes me sad and now everytime i look at it.. I think of her comment

What do you ladies think...??

I think it is stuning! Not at all a cluster ring. My grandmother had a cluster ring and your is NOT!! I love it. Wear it and cherish it . Your darling husband symbol of love to you. I hope this isn't rude but perhaps your friend is a bit envious? Please don't listen to her it is a very special ring and stunning. CONGRATS!

I think your friend needs to reconsider her opinion. It is not a cluster ring.

It's a large solitaire with a wide halo. I think what is throwing her off is the larger halo (hence larger diamonds). Standard halos are thinner.

If she doesn't chillax, just tell her you're the one who owns it, not her ;)

I think your set is very pretty!! But, I am going to say this. A real friend should be allowed to express their opinion. I personally do not want friends, who agree with everything I say and like everything I like. IMO, that is not a real friend. I true friend will not sugar coat things for you. You asked her if she liked it, and she told her true feelings. She doesn't have to like it, if you like it, it doesn't matter, but I don't think she should be labeled as jealous or rude. If you were married to a bad guy, a true friend would tell you. A friend who didn't care about you, would let you marry/date an a$$hole. If you were wearing a dress that looked horrible on you; a true friend would tell you before you went out in public. All my opinion. Constantly telling you she doesn't like your ring IS rude. Her opinion was only asked once.
