What color E-I is your e-ring?

Mine is GIA certified 1.88 F vvs1 round brilliant cut the side baguettes are G-H vvs2. I do not really notice the difference in colour. I want to upgrade it to a 2.88 but still keep the F colour. I was told by my jeweller that it is very hard to find exactly what I want.

My original ring is an H and my upgrade is an L/M but it doesn't look yellow IRL at all. I see a teeny tiny difference but it wouldn't be enough to justify thousands of dollars!

The top one is the H, the bottom one is the L/M. And they're both filthy! :p

I was totally set on a "D" but dramatically changed my mind in the last couple hours. Definitely not worth the thousands more for it!

I was told that the colour difference between D-E-F is almost non-existent unless you have a very trained eye. I agree about the cost not being worth it to go from a F to a D.

Mine is a .99 ctw I color Asscher. My fiance and I had it made by a local estate jeweler because we couldn't find anything in her estate jewelry that I loved, that was also in the price range.

I find that my stone does look a little grey, depending on the lighting it's under, but it's an Asscher (and probably not perfectly cut) so it would probably look much whiter if it were a round brilliant or something with more faceting.

For me though, I love it. The color makes it look more antique, which is what I have always gravitated toward and it was more important to me to have a larger stone than a better color, because I have chubby fingers. Because of our limited budget (which ended up being $1500 more than he originally wanted to spend, the poor man) it was either color or size and we went size.

Honestly though, if you're talking round brilliant or something similar, you'll barely be able to see the color difference. It's all about what is most important to you.

I would get a better color and go down on the clarity scale. Even in some I1's the naked eye can't see the inclusion, so you can't tell the difference between that and an VVS1. Is a better clarity worth more money? YES, but if you're on a budget I'd get a better color and skimp on the clarity so long as the stone was eye clean.
I myself also prefer the warmer diamonds. Something in the G-I range and I'm perfectly happy. I think if you like it, get it. I personally don't spout off the color/size/clarity of my stone when I get compliments on it, so whats it matter so long as it's beautiful?
