I got some weights tonight - Weighed totally "naked":
35 Vache Liegee: 2 lbs. 12.0 ounces - I or J stamp
35 Clemence: 2 lbs. 11.2 ounces - K or L stamp
35 Clemence: 2 lbs. 9.7 ounces - K or L Stamp
35 Togo: 2 lbs. 8.3 ounces - M Stamp
35 CDC: 2 lbs. 2.9 ounces - F Stamp

I had always heard that Vache Liegee was the lightest but I could tell, even before I weighed it, that it was heavier than my CDC. The CDC is so light! I traveled with it a couple weeks ago and it was jammed full of stuff and it was not all that heavy and was a fabulous travel bag. The VL is actually the heaviest of all! I am so surprised that it's heavier than Togo and Clemence! But it does feel heavy.

I have two Clemence bags here at the moment and each had a different weight. I should have gotten their year stamps but they are tucked away now and I'm too lazy to get them out but I put the years I think they are ...

Darn... I should have put the grams, too... I guess I'll need to do this again but not now!!

This is so informative! I found my 35cm Indigo CDC birkin (Year 2004/H stamp) really, really heavy and sold it. I recently tried on a 35cm CDC birkin (year 2009/M stamp) and found it to be light as a feather.

Had my Indigo CDC been that light - I wouldn't have sold it! :confused1:

Yes, CDC is really light. I can tell such a difference between that and Togo, Clemence and VL. I can't imagine why your 2004 was so heavy. My CDC is 2002. Maybe the leather varies .....

I bought my Black birkin on 4 Jan 2010, it has an M stamp, so I guess theoretically speaking, it belongs to the 2009 batch, and the other birkin(BdP) was bought in mid 2009 which also has an M stamp, so I guess I should re-phrase and say the recent Togo is thinner and feels lighter than the previous ones :)

.... this is my personal observation, would like to hear from other pfers if anyone feels the same:)

hi! I bought my birkin about 2 weeks ago, its a N stamp. and I dont really think its heavy either. It does feel a little thinner than the older togos, I can't say for sure about the weight as I havent actually used her :smile1: but I was expecting it to be much heavier...but it actually seems manageable for now ( although it's empty!!!), I think some of my pradas are heavier in fact....
