Weights of different leathers

Pepper, thx for the stats! I knew Clemance was the heaviest!! Everytime I carry my 35 cm birkin in Clemance I feel like my arms are going to break off.

Ms Birkin, I have a feeling Fjord is heavier, it's pretty sturdy and heavy-duty IMO.

Is fjord heavier than clemence? I was thinking of a 35cm birkin in fjord as it repels rain (always useful here in the UK) but wanted to know if it is one of the heavier leathers TIA

New fjord is lighter than the old fjord but I don't know how it compares with clemence (new or old) unfortunately.

wait, is Evergrain heavier than Clemence? because the heaviest so far is the Clemence Birkin at 2.8 pounds.

I weighed my Birkin complete with the lock/keys, empty and without the rain kit.

I weighed myself first, then I weighed myself again holding my bag.
I weighed myself a number of times to make certain.
I also have weighed it on different scales,and it always comes out at 3.5 pounds.

Allan, I guess Evergraine is heavier than Clemence;unless my bag is abnormally heavy?
