Great thread peanut! I have also been craving a black weekender ever since I saw that pic of one of the Olsens with one and thought it looked super cute (aall: feel free to give me yours if you're not using it! ;) ). As many of you know, I love the look of a huge-ass bag on a little lady! :p I think it looks fab if you're tiny--Esile is the same size as I am (about 5"5) and it looks awesome on her.

Esile: Have you been using it a lot and do you find the handles are comfortable on your shoulder?

yes, avery, you're my twin!:tender: it is a "huge-ass" bag! but, i love it! i use mine alot. currently, i'm rotating between my black weekender, rouge work, and magenta work. it is very comfortable. the handles are slightly longer than my work.

peanut, do you own a work size? or what is the biggest size bag you have? if you plan on getting a weekender for everyday use... i would start with a work size first and get a weekender later. it is humongous and if you aren't use to big bags, it could be slightly overwhelming. but if you've always carried big bags, the weekender won't seem so much bigger.:flowers:

lol, i'm pretty teeny-tiny, that's for sure & at 1st i thought she'd be too big on me ...but then i saw photos of all these gorgeous PF girls (especially edna who's also 5'2 i think) & i had to have one :tender:...she's definitely big on me i wouldn't use her as an everyday bag...but i'm in  with her & think she's super cool :supacool:

You're right, I am 5'2", also. :flowers:

peanut, I don't think it would look ridiculous at all. And trust me, I had the same questions. I thought I'd only use my bag for traveling but I find that it's not too big to use as an every day bag! The handles are long enough to fit over your shoulder, but they will probably stretch a little anyway. :smile1:

thanks for the responses guys!
Esile - love the black and it doesn't look big at all on you! the only bbag i currently own is a city. i've been using it everyday but feel i could definately use a bigger size for toting all of my crap to work. Plus i travel a lot so a bigger size for magazines, granola bars, water, etc would be great!
other than that the biggest size bag i own is a MJ Stam which i am currently contemplating selling. i love it but she's been sitting in her dustbag for awhile...
Edna - your weekender looks great too and as a fellow tiny person it doesn't look ridiculously large! i'm not sure if i could pull it off to use everyday though :shrugs:. still debating...you could fit a whole other bbag in the weekender!
Fiat - i hadn't seen those pictures but the lilac is stunning!
ahhh still so unsure! wish i had money for both a work and a weekender...and a first...and a campagnon...:graucho:

Lilo isnt very petite. She's like 5'6

Last time I used this picture, it convinced someone to get a weekender lol
It's Ashley Olsen. She's like 5'1 5'2 and. 105 pounds?

Notice the Birkin on her other shoulder ahah

I"m 5'3 and recently saw the weekender in person for the first time. It's huge! I wouldn't be lugging that thing around all day like a purse, but it definitely looks like a great duffle bag for (pardon the pun) a weekend out.

it's definitely not for everyone. if you're not use to large bags, this thing is gigantic!
