ok, first, varsha , congrats on bag. i used mu origan weekender alot this weekend . green is a great color to throw around and i think my LA handle guy could help. only do handles, dont touch the leather on that 04!!! i think it would be harder for the wilder colors... and i did not like the repairs on white either and sold my white twiggy and bought another white work to use sparingly. winona, size, i took my weeknder on plane as carry on and stuck her inside another prada nylon large duffel as well!! the duffel held my leather jacket and a pair of boots and weekender had everything else and was my purse. so no problems witsize. works are too small for me on plane travels... and whoever asked about size comparisons. i have figured out the bal bags are like russian dolls. you can place each next side up inside each other if u fold over handles. ie. classic fits in city and city fits in work and work fits in weekender. ok girls, i have lost it........east coast on west coast time back in east coast..................

I want to get a weekender to use as a carry-on as well, but I can't justify spending $1400 on a carry-on. I haven't come across a good deal on any used ones either.

Does anyone have side by side photos of the weekender vs. the men's weekender?

Thanks! I figure he can help because of the earthy color. Love the Russian doll comparison! I only have a city a day and a couple of messenger bags, but I'll try it:graucho:

varsha, i have lost it... put your day in city etc etc etc . i will have to do a creative photo oof of my bal girls mascarding as russian stackable dolls....:D :D :D . it will make a nice rainbow....green, pink, blue, white, black, etcetcetc

i'm just wondering afew things... hope you dont mind answering my questions... :amuse:

1. what do you use your WEEKENDER for?

2. how much stuff does it OR can it hold?

3. do you or would this be OK for a everyday bag?

4. would you recommend this bag for someone who is about 5'1 tall?

5. finally, what colour would you suggest?

i just got one recently, and i love it even better than the work bag for days when i will be carrying a lot. so, in addition to the purse basics, i will put in it: a newspaper, bottle of water, sweater, my daughter's writing stuff or a laptop.

however, i am 5'6". it looks proportional on me. i don't think height is the only issue, though, some smaller people look good in big bags. i think you have to try one on and look in the mirror, see if you feel comfortable with it!

helen, i love my weekneders! i use for everything!! very fashionista chic and fun! today i am using my magenta weekender as a day purse bc i need to be cheered up! i used my ice blue weekender out to dinner this week with a simple black dress and blue and silver platforms to coordinate with the bag! a liitle big for an evening bag, but i had had a a lot of fun with it.:heart:they are addicting, it is hard to swith back to citys and works when you get used to size. do you wear heels? that will give you more height for big bag balance. i would say get a fun color and give it a try.:smile1:
