Wedding ring dilemma

You probably should've asked me about their customer service. It's lacking. If not non-existant. At least all of my experiences thus far have been.

I would be on the phone telling them you need a tracking number before you hang up.

After speaking with two different managers they told me they will call me by the end of the day to tell me if it shipped and there is nothing else they can do. It is apparently moving through the warehouse, whatever that means.

How they can be this lackadaisical about a $4,000 that was guaranteed to be delivered today is beyond me.

I will definitely think twice next time I order with them. I have a ton of Tiffany stuff, but it has all been gifted to me so I didn't know it was going to be like this.

They FINALLY came. UPS didn't show up until 6:50. I don't know what is going on with them lately.

Anyway, I love them both! I am having such a hard time picking. Here are my thoughts on each:

Metro:
Pros: lightweight, comfortable, flat to the skin, very sparkly, looks better on my hand than the novo, eternity ring
Cons: looks invisible far away, kind of looks like a kid's ring

Novo:
Pros: beautiful, sparkly, looks more expensive and classic
Cons: heavier, doesn't "suit" me as well, sticks off further off my finger, only has diamonds 1/2 way around, maybe too traditional

I don't know what to do!

I am also having a sizing dilemma. The Metro ring I would definitely need the 5. The 5.5 can just pull right off. The Novo fits a little bigger, but I can still almost just pull it off if I want. I have huge knuckles, which is why I went with the 5.5, but both the rings move all over my finger. They will not stay at the base, they move at least halfway up toward the knuckle. Is that normal? This is my first time wearing a ring really.

I would consider the full eternity Novo since you like the stones all around. I know it's well more than you planned to pay but if you want more presence I think youll like that better.

I don't think the Metro alone is going to be "enough". I think you need either a 2nd one OR a plain band that's equally thin to have enough presence. I noticed on their site that they had a 1.5 or 1.8 mm plain platinum band now, which I assume is meant to go with the metro. It was reasonable for Tiffany's. Might be an option.

But I also think you need a smaller one if you're going to do the metro, even with another ring on your hand. It's VERY thin. I know your pain about knuckles tho. So if they fit comfortably over your knuckle without ripping skin off, they're going ot be the right size, But if they can fall off on their own when your hands are wet or cold, go down. I wish they did quarter sizes bec 5.25 would be perfect I think.

We need pics. ;)

If you decide to add another band to it, check these out: http://www.etsy.com/shop/fabuluster?section_id=6302600

It might add a non-traditional twist to whichever diamond band you choose. There are other people who do similar bands, this is just the first shop that caught my eye in the search. :) And they do platinum.

I love that idea but I don't think they can rush one for THursday delivery. She gets married next weekend!

Thanks all!

I definitely do not want two bands, so if the metro looks that bad as is, I guess it needs to be out of consideration. I do not like jewelry on my hands, it drives me insane, so having two instead of one is just more annoying! The main appeal of the metro to me is that it is so tiny it is almost not there. I don't wear a lot of "bling" and my usual jewelry choices are string bracelets and leather double wrap watches and things like that, so I want to make sure my band goes with that stuff.

I have thought about the Novo band that goes all the way around, but I am afraid since the stones are bigger than the Metro I will knock them out if the are on the bottom, and I really don't want to pay 3k for it. I am too practical and that just seems like a lot for something I may or may not end up wearing a lot (even though it is my wedding band).

This morning I am super puffy (happens to me a lot of mornings), and I could barely get either of them on. The metro was still fine and I could still probably size down if I had to, but the Novo was SO tight. I could barely get it on or off. It fit perfectly, exactly how I want it to fit. If I size down, it will definitely not go on my hand when I am puffy or hot.

Do you gals size to your "puffy" size or to your "normal" size. Apparently time of the day/month/year makes a huge difference for me.
