i love the cold weather bluewin :) which is why i'm miserable here in southeast asia. the only good thing is the ease of dressing since it is perpetually summer, no need to worry about changing temps throughout the day.

robee i'll pm u but for ease of H shopping, i agree with bluewin, stay nearer to champs elysee

Robee, the last time I stayed at Fraser's service apartments... Fraser's is a Singapore company :smile1: It is at La Defense, which I think is near the CBD area of Paris, but the plus point is that it is VERY close to the metro, and the same line runs directly to Charles de Guille Etoile, the stop which starts at the Arc ;) No need to change metro!

Service was great, but we didn't experience much of the in-room facilities because we were out most of the time!

The stops for Versailles and Disney are on different RER lines, so you will have to stop at an RER interchange to get on the trains for those. IIRC, there is an interchange stop along this Fraser's line (I can't remember the number, but I think it's the orange line?) that will link you to these places.

When I was there, I just bought the 5-day Paris Visite travel pass (about 50 euros), which allows you unlimited travel throughout all the 6 zones of Paris, and also on the RER. Saved us a lot of hassle in planning our trips.

I must take note that the above:) get the travel pass:)

thanks!

Robee, you can also consider renting a car and use a GPS to get around, especially for Versailles and Disney. Even after living in Paris for 18 months, I must say I'm not a fan of the RER. There is also a big luxury outlet La Vallée Village near Disney.

Good day everybody......

I have read about Lyon, and did some research on it. I seems like a nice city to stop by. Any feedback will be much appreciated

You can get it straight from the airport - they have a little tourist counter where you can almost everything tourist-related. The only catch is that they open at about 8.30 / 9am - and the SQ flights come in about 7am. We spent quite a bit of time sitting around waiting for the counter to open even after going through customs and collecting baggage etc.
