Robee, if you are going to Normandy, you have to visit Mont Saint-Michel, it's amazing. DH and I did Paris/ Normandy for our honeymoon, we rented a car and drove to Normandy and it was a very nice drive, especially along the coast.

London is the BEST choice and always ALWAYS take the train to london. I learned it the hard way. :)

It's only 2 hours away, and you can stay a couple nights as close to harrods as u wish :)

Hi

Need advice from TPFers who stay in Paris before.
Is the area near the St Lazare ok?
Rue De Stockholm area/
I was thinking either there or Rue de berri (very near the LV Champs Elysees)

close to champ de elysee is better because some shops on Champ elysée are opened on Sundays (not sure if that was changed since Feb because that was the last time i was in paris).
st lazare if you want to be closer to department stores but they are not opened on sundays.

plus, you are closer to the George V Hermes shop if you choose the Champ elysée location

lol and please shop early, the shops close very early there.

i like to stay along rue rivoli (got supermarche nearby, very useful for stocking up on water and snacks) we like to walk alot in paris which is why i prefer going there when it is cold. from there we can walk to the louvre, the seine and everywhere that is walkable...

robee: big chain shops like Zara and Virgin records are opened on Champ Elysée on sunday. We normally go to museums on sunday then shop at Virgin records afterwards.

loves: last time i was in paris was too cold and we didn't walk around outside too much.
i'm hoping the weather is not too cold to walk around this time

oh yes i forgot to add that you must like the cold to do that. 10-16degC to me is perfect but i can go out even when it's under 10 and/or snowing :p

robee apologies, i am not familiar with serviced apts in paris

loves,

how about the hotel/s u stayed before?

for me
sub 10 u see sitting on hands and not moving if possible hahaaha

robee: i'm not sure about service apartments in paris, most hotels can accomodate to children. i was the same in feb and normally i'm used to cold weather but it was too cold even for me. i hope the weather is nice too. the weather is sort of unpredictable around this time of year.

loves: you must really love cold weather. i don't mind cold weather as long as there's no strong wind blowing across.
