Does anyone know what kind of brush I can use to brush calf hair/pony hair? I want to spray my AMQ clutch with Meltonian but I would like to brush out some messy areas first. Has anyone brushed their calf hair/pony hair CLs before treating them?

^^Anything for you, jenay! Here are my before and after photos in both indoor and outdoor light. In the indoor "before" shot, the left footed shoe is about the same distance from the camera and flash as in the "after shot." The outdoor shots are taken at different times of day facing in different directions, but I think you’ll get the idea.

100% pure gorgeous. In every way.

I have searched the thread and I did not see anything on a protector for satin. What product should I use on only the satin area of my Ambers? Should I even protect the satin?

Has anyone tried dying their watersnake shoes a darker color?

Mine had a small red smudge and I tried cleaning it with nail polish remover, now the red is gone but it looks sort of smudged.

I have not personally dyed WS, but I have heard of ladies taking theirs in to their cobblers and having it professionally done with great results!

Hi ladies! I just got my first exotic a little over a week ago, the Indigo WS Bianca. I have yet to wear them. I want to treat them, and I got bottle of Meltonian. My question is do I need to condition them or anything first? Or just spray them? There are a few scales that are a little lifted, will they lay flat after I treat them? TIA!!

Thanks Jenay. I took them to the cobbler to see if he can remove the damage that I caused, since it is in the back. He's giving it a try, so I'll post Wednesday if it worked or not. If that doesn't work, I'm thinking of having them dyed a light grey or something, so that I can still see the scaling.

I have the Amethyste WS Bianca and I simply sprayed them. No need to condition first, IMO. Congrats - the Indigo is beautiful.

I'm actually curious about this, so please do update as to whether it worked. What colour are they, anyway? Perhaps you could dye them black? Black WS AD = :hbeat:

The cobbler was able to fix my watersnakes! He's amazing and they look like brand new again. He used a certain product to do it, I'll ask the name of the product next time I go in for reference. The damage was at the top back side shown of the shoe.

Hello Ladies,

I ordered the meltonian and am going to spray my Python Batiks and some non-CL eel shoes. Here's my question:

You all mention that meltonian has a really strong smell, so I'd like to know if the smell lingers on the shoes a long time. If not, how long does it take to go away?

Thank you! :smile1:

Spray your shoes in a well ventilated area. I sprayed my exotics outside. The smell was gone from the shoes in about two days after the second spray. I left them out of their boxes to dry completely.

Great! I'll definitely make sure the area is very well ventilated. Thank you so much for the info. :smile1:
