any thoughts on this? I really want to wear them this weekend but I'm not sure if I should spray BEFORE or AFTER I use Bick 4 Conditioner (or if I even should use Bick 4 conditioner).
thanks!

I'm curious about this too cuz I conditioned my python, but not sure if I should waterproof now or wait awhile or not at all?

Yes! you can do something. You can put the other shoe on the sun and make them even :D

Just a lame joke :p

Actually not a joke! I was specifically told by MM7 that this is the ONLY way to fix uneven exotic colors (due to being on display at the store or being baked under the sun).

MM7 tried several lotions and cremes for me over a course of 2 weeks, after which they emailed me to confirm that the only way to fix this is to place the good shoe under the sun or under a lamp for a few hours at a time until the color turns into the same color as the 'discolored' shoe.:smile1: Gotta say, MM7 is one of the best cobblers I've dealt with. They were even apologetic that they couldn't find a solution (other than sun/lamp one).

My waterproofing process involved pulling two old bookcases from the garage and stacking shoes on it:

Nat, please advice....
I want to use the Meltonian water & stain protector (well, haven't order it yet) on my few exotic/suede pairs: Luxura, Fruitti Fruitti, and Henry.

1. Fruitti Fruitti - I was worry about the Mesh Lace and Leopard pony hair, do I need to cover those areas before spray?

2. Luxura & Henry - do I need to worry about the studs?

3. Oh, I probably need to treat my black nappa MBB - from reading through the entire thread, I'm not sure if it's the Meltonian Creme or Water & Stain Protector?

Bag-terfly-So sorry I hadn't checked the thread in a bit.

1.) Fruitti- You can spray the whole thing. I have Paciottis that are suede with lace overlay and I sprayed the whole thing. No prob. And I have sprayed my pony shoes and bags when I had them. (Gave up any kind of fur)

2.) Have sprayed 2 different versions of the Luxura and it doesn't effect studs. Sprayed all of my spike shoes when I had them.

3.) Spray. I spray everything. Lightly on the Lambskin but everything else go for it. I have sprayed both my Nappa MBBs and my Suede MBBs.

Sorry it too me so long. I didn't mean to abandon. Just have had a lot going on with my family.:smile1:

My bottle of meltonian was out after 3 pairs of heels and 1 pair of sandals.. am I spraying too much? I didn't think I would run out so fast!

xlovely-You are getting like me. I saturate my shoes and bags. So, I'm right there with you. I used an entire can on my new XL Roccia Python Givenchy Nightengale.

Anyone know about using the Meltonian on cobra? I did my batiks and they seem a tad darker now so not sure about the light cobra.
Thanks!

I used it on my Cobra and they were fine. I've sprayed my Batik LPs that someone else has and my new NPs and they didn't change the color at all.

I've never had it change the color or texture of anything I've sprayed.

thanks Nat! I think it was just my imagination on the batiks. they have so many colors going on but they are still vibrant. they were possibly not dry all the way yet.

No worries. Thanks for your reply. I guess I should order a few more bottles before I start spraying, since I could pretty much spray it on anything and everything :D

Nat, thank you for this thread and for responding to my email. I treated my Python Lucido HPs last night and this afternoon. Shiny as ever and beeeeeeeeaaaaaaaauuuuuuuutiful.
