The cobbler was able to fix my watersnakes! He's amazing and they look like brand new again. He used a certain product to do it, I'll ask the name of the product next time I go in for reference. The damage was at the top back side shown of the shoe.

:yahoo: That's wonderful!

I tried to do a search here but couldn't find a direct answer.
Is the Meltonian spray safe to use on kid leather? I have Declic kid and NS kid I'd like to protect with the water and stain protector.
I know it's safe to use on nappa (and the bottle instructions do state 'leather') but I haven't seen any mention here of anyone using the spray on their kid leather shoes. Just wanted to check first.
Thanks!!

I have used Meltonian on my new Chanel flats and also on other various leathers, without a problem. You just use a light mist to cover them (I do two coats, letting them dry in between), rather than saturating them with the spray and they'll be fine. They may look darker when wet, but will be perfect when they dry.

yes, definitely spray in a ventilated area. i sprayed a couple of pairs this weekend in the garage, but didn't open the door. the garage still smelled like paint yesterday. lol. :girlwhack:

but wanted to thank nat again for starting this thread. i have been terrified to wear my grey nabuck python biancas, but finally sprayed them this weekend.

I am not sure If I am posting in the right thread, so I apologize in advance if so, but I have searched everywhere in the forum and cannot seem to find a definitive answer to my question.

I recently purchased the Leopard Pony Hair Biancas and would like to know if you can use Meltonian spray on them and/or has anyone else ever done it? If so, which Meltonian product do you use?

I live in Miami, where it's always humid and wet, and am looking for a way to protect/preserve them. Thank you!

I treated my leopard MBP's with meltonian spray and they are perfect! I picked mine up from a local cobbler.

I'm so glad to pop in and see that everyone is having such great success with water/stainproofing their shoes.

I wore my light pink python Biancas (that I've only worn one time) to a very important appointment this week. I took the client to lunch and a waiter dropped a bunch of plates from a table he was clearing. I gasped in horror when I realized that he splashed sauce from a pasta dish on to my python Biancas. Whew, ran to the bathroom, wiped them off and then when I got home, used some exotic skin cleaner and it wiped right off. I  my Meltonian. It just made me realize that it really does make a difference treating my shoes all these years.

Just thought I'd share a success story.

Which Exotic Skin Cleaner do you use? Sorry if I missed it from previous posts :p

Hi,
There is a product called Lincoln EZ Clean that is great for spot cleaning. Just make sure that you stain/waterproof them after you clean them.

If you need any other help, please feel free to PM me.

Ok this may be silly but I just sprayed my WS Biancas, I got some on the sole is that ok? I didn't ruin anything did I? They look the same, I think maybe not as shiny, but that could be me just freaking out! Someone tell me that they'll be ok!
