ok so do you condition the ws and other exotics? Im asking because my Mamaw had custom made python and if she didnt condition them, the scales would stick up and they were rather sharp and scratchy. The shoes also did not look good when the scales were sticking up. Im just curious.

The short answer is yes :)

Nat, the OP, wrote up a really great post on this on the very first page of the thread

Idk...considering that particular cobbler, I would think they know what they're talking about. In either case, I'm sure that spraying the metallic exotic won't completely harm it.

Right? That's what I am thinking but honestly lifted an eyebrow when I asked "what if something spills on it" and they said they would paint the shoe ... I am just going to get the spray and do it myself. The clubs where I plan on wearing this shoe too there is a great chance of spillage. My cheapie shoes get spilled on sometimes and I don't get upset but they aren't $ 1,400.00 shoes ...

Yea I know what you mean. I sprayed my Luxuras which happens to have the Saba for the heel and the bottom platform. Everything turned out ok.

I have yet to call back .. I will try tomorrow (I think she's off today)

Seriously, sprayed mine three times already and they're fine :D plus, I wanted them shinier so I sprayed them with a Meltonian super shine spray for leather. Didn't really work but they look the same as before. It's just like any other exotic - what's the big deal?

I think it's because of the paint. They paint over the skin with the Saba instead of dying it.

Ah, that makes sense then why she said "we'd just paint it" ...

Oh... well, either way, my shoes are fine - honestly. I can take photos if you'd like :D But of course you should only do what you're comfortable with. I just refuse to treat them with kid gloves - they're just *really gorgeous* shoes :p

I got mine today and sprayed down all my shoes (even the glitter ones because I'll probably be walking on grass with those).

I sprayed down a non-CL pair of suede shoes and though it took longer to dry, it still looks the same as it did before. Encountered no problems, sprayed outdoors so no fumes or anything.~ Thanks for the recommendations, Nat!!

Oh, you girls. Thanks but I'm just trying to help.

And the Saba, yes I sprayed my Luxuras over and over again. Mostly because the suede is so light and I am too lazy to take off my Lux UVs and my Luxura when I drive. So, I wanted to spray the heck out of the Sabal heel. Remember, if you're not going to take your shoes off, like I do not do with booties and ankle straps (jeez, so lazy), use something satin underneath. Makes it really a nice little bed for your shoes.

Addressing driving in very high heels...I think it's a matter of practice. I've been doing it for years but, please, if you don't feel safe driving in them, my gosh, take them off. Safety first!!!!;)
