I'm so glad to pop in and see that everyone is having such great success with water/stainproofing their shoes.
I wore my light pink python Biancas (that I've only worn one time) to a very important appointment this week. I took the client to lunch and a waiter dropped a bunch of plates from a table he was clearing. I gasped in horror when I realized that he splashed sauce from a pasta dish on to my python Biancas. Whew, ran to the bathroom, wiped them off and then when I got home, used some exotic skin cleaner and it wiped right off. I
my Meltonian. It just made me realize that it really does make a difference treating my shoes all these years.

How OFTEN should you spray shoes? I *think* that Pasquales would have sprayed them twice, but I don't know if I trust that. Would it hurt the shoe to spray it again (the RB WS Bianca's) if I sprayed earlier then 6 months?

Nat, I sprayed my jade WS jennys for the first time today and I wanted to thank you for providing such clear step by step instructions! all is well so far! i will spray them again tomorrow.
This is a little off topic, but I have a gorgeous BV nappa aquilone bag... it's the softest and most delicate bag ever... do you think i could use the meltonian on it? i am deathly afraid to carry my bag because i don't want it to get dirty... TIA

Also wanna share my spraying success on my new Chanel reissue (non-distressed "satin" leather), Rick Owens jacket (heavily "vintage" distressed leather), and CL Rolande Boucle (suede).
As Nat said, there's no change in color, no sticky residue, and barely any smell (disappears after a 1-2 days). I'm going to spray all my shoes now haha! The can runs out fast though. I just ordered another 2 lol
I also got the Meltonian All-Purpose Cleaner & Conditioner. The product states to NOT use it on suede, but I tried it anyway (cuz I'm a rebel at heart lol) and this is what happens if you do:
^So do NOT use the lotion on suede

The bag looks fantastic. But, you rebel you. You can't use that Meltonian product on suede. There is a specific product that they make for suede. Always have to march to the beat of your own drum, dontcha?

Yes, you can use it on that bag. Just spray lightly and make sure it's dry before you spray the 2nd time.

i just finished spraying the WS AD and Jennys... the shoes still look fab and the WS is as soft as ever. I waited 24 hours like you suggested before putting on the 2nd layer. How often do you re-spray them?
I am going to try the meltonian on my BVs later tonight. Will report back soon!

I spray them when they need them. The ones that I wear a lot, I spray like every 8 months. You want to avoid having to have them professionally cleaned because that makes the scales lay down and you really have to condition them and brush them once they are professionally cleaned.
Ok, let's see the bag. I really have to have that bag now. Thanks a lot. Just what I need...another bag.
