Ok guys...I did the Melatonian and have some before and after pics to show. I think it works great!! There's no color change in the shoe.

Before...

After spraying... Mind you it is darker because it's still wet.

Side by side comparison with the other shoe that I DID NOT spray yet (left shoe = sprayed, right shoe = not sprayed)...

As you can see, there is no color change. I also did not cover the insole of the shoe because the spray also protects leather...which is what the insole is made of. HTH!!!

Yayyy!!! They look great! Gorgeous pair!

Were you careful to not go over the same spot twice when you were spraying? Does it say anything on the bottle about not wetting it too much?

Hi guys!
I went to the official cobbler of CL (minuit moins sept) for my Lanvin beige watersnake flats and they said that in addition to waterproofing you should moisturize them using a very small drop of mink oil. Once that dries you can spray a waterproofing spray (they sell one). I bought both for 20 €. They said you can use it on any exotics (reptile included). I'm not a CL addict but just wanted to reassure you that your waterproofing technique is right on :-)

OK, 5 pairs of shoes, 2 sprays each, 1 1/2 bottles of Meltonian later and they're drying and I think I may be a bit high. They weren't kidding when they said well-ventilated space. :D

 it really is a strong smell isn't it?! I did it in a separate room in my house and had to open all the windows, it was really bad.
next item I spray I'm doing it outside.
