Wash your Coach in Washing Machine?

I would NEVER put one of my bags in the washer. Too much money to spend on a bag and have it accidentally ruined. I have the Coach signature cleaner and its pretty good. Try that.

I would have NEVER considered this 6 months ago if someone had suggested it....
but another SA and I were recently discussing this..and while the company absolutely DOES NOT recommend it...it is a personal risk/preference. I do know a loyal customer of mine who has put several of her light colored bags (white optic sig. Carly for example) in the washer...and it looks like it was bought yesterday...

Needless to say, I clicked on this link because THIS VERY DAY I put 2 of my own Coach bags in the washer after struggling to spot treat them. They were both Hamptons Weekends hobos (from more than a year ago)...I wear them only in summer and they are my least expensive bags (one in black and one in sky blue). I washed them on the delicate setting using Woolite...and they came out GORGEOUS...all spots on either bag are GONE. BUT...I highly recommend exhausting all other recommended cleaning methods before resorting to your washer.

I will not be putting any of my other bags in the washer...just these in the future.

It sounds like playing roulette. Maybe when I open the washer, the bag will be fine or maybe when the washer stops, I will :crybaby:. I would be too afraid to do it.

I might have put (both of) my Scribble hobos in the washing machine if they did not have the suede trim on them, but since they do....

I gave them a good bath with Woolite and a washcloth since I was too afraid of ruining them in the washer.
I even rinsed the Woolite out of it (super duper wet) in my sink and was very careful in doing so not to get any of the suede wet.
I blotted them with a clean white bath towel to get the majority of the water out then I hung them outside on my balcony (out of the sun) to air dry.
Both are pristine after their 'baths' and I was delighted with the end results!

I have a great front load washer that I have used to wash cashmere sweaters and a few other things labeled dry clean only, but I would be far too afraid to put any of my Coach in there!

my son threw up in my weekend hamptons tote and it was death for her. i could still kill the ex for throwing it in there!!!!! :( it was not suicide, it was murder! she was awful, lost all of her shape...and beauty....sniffle. yes, there were no more stains but the natural leather trim and handles looked like it was removed from the bottom of the laundry basket.

i just can't do it!

I put my scribble tote in the washing machine and it worked wonders! It was looking dirty and I couldn't get it clean any other way. I wasn't going to carry a filthy looking bag around, so I washed it.
