I recently purchased a Gucci sukey bag from rue la la... It came in a plastic bag with no dust bag, no certificate of authenticity, and no tags or anything. I googled ho to authenticate and all postings said it should have come with both a certificate and dust bag. It's a beautiful purse and I can't say the seams or anything look off but the leather doesn't feel real to me ( not sure if I have myself convinced it's not real bc it didn't come with a certificate). I inquired at the Gucci store to see if they would authenticate it but they wouldn't even look at it replying if you wanted an authentic Gucci you goto a Gucci store. It's an $895 bag and I paid $699 so not a huge difference. I just don't know if I can carry the bag knowing what I paid for it thinking its a fake... Any thoughts on how to authenticate? Thanks! Waiting to hear back from rue la la on action...

THis is awful. I've purchased a YSL from Rue (as well as many other things) with no problems. That hologram tag definitely gives it away....good luck to you. Please keep us posted as to how Rue remedies this situation!!

Stephanie - did you ever find anything more out about your bag? I too just purchased a Gucci Sukey Medium bag from Rue LaLa and it came wrapped in plastic with no authenticity card or dustbag. I checked the Gucci website and the pattern and inside details all match up, I just don't understand why Rue LaLa would send it that way. I sent their customer service an email and am hoping to get some clarity, but even getting a small discount off a *new* bag, shouldn't imply that it comes with no dustbag or authenticity card.

I did, we went round and round with them an they 'assurred' me it was authentic and discounted $30 for no dust bag... We still weren't happy with that though so we pushed for a refund. I just wasn't confident it was real and would have been miserable thinking about he whole situation. They also told me I should have read the description better... If it didn't say it comes with a dust bag/ certificate then I shouldn't have expected one... Which is crap! Hope you're able to authenticate yours!! Good luck!

Also... We got nowhere with email for weeks... Hubby called and it was taken care of that day! :). Next time I'm jut going o the Gucci store... Not worth all the hassle :)
