Hi peeps. I recently bought a Givenchy Nightingale bag from Rue La La and several parts came off and poorly made. I am 100 % sure it is a freaking fake bag!! Does anybody know who I need to contact? Heard I need to talk to the person called Meredith. Anybody can hook me up with her email?

Wow, that is insane. I can't believe this is STILL happening. I thought the FENDI was a one-time occurrence.

Who are they getting these bags from?? I can't believe they are risking their reputation with these shady vendors!

So sorry this happened to you...guess I'll stick to buying clothes and home goods. Kinda makes me wonder though....what if their designer clothes/jeans are fake as well? :-s

Well can't speak for the bags, but I bought two pairs of shoes from Rue, YSL and Valentinos Rockstuds, both were 100% Authentic and perfectly packaged!!!
My friends bought bags from them and same thing.

Are there any sites that are still 100% trustworthy? And it has to be 100%-- not just 90% or something-- because for those of us who won't be able to recognize a fake, the risk just isn't worth it.

I've seen threads about how Portero sells fakes repeatedly and just hopes that no one realizes it, but when people do they just shut them up with 100% refunds, and I've seen threads about incidents with several other big sites as well... What's worse is that all these stores claim to have professional authenticators and that they actually check all their bags!

Sigh. Apart from online shopping, there aren't really many options for those of us who aren't rich or don't live near the actual brand's stores.

^^ :faint:

Does anyone have experience purchasing FENDI (or other designer brands) from Overstock.com?

I bought a scarf YEARS ago...never questioning the authenticity, but now I'm not so sure....
I have purchased Tom Ford sunglasses from Overstock.com and the oddest thing happened. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with these frames. They were supposed to be black with black lenses but in some light they looked light gray to me. It wasn't until I broke them and ordered a replacement pair that I realized, the frame around the lenses was black, the lenses themselves and the arms of the frame were light gray. And I realized it because I ordered myself black and gray as a replacement. So, I don't know what to make of that. Were they fake? Were they a factory second? I've never questioned their authenticity until that moment.
