Paypal as well as Ebay needs to change some of their policies. I know that there are sellers selling fakes, but there are also dishonest buyers. I am a selelr and have had buyers tell me "I'm going to pay tomorrow, but you can go ahead and mail the item to me". In general, Ebay can be a good place to sell, but it can also be a horrible place.

I hope you get back every dime that is owed to you!

this may be time consuming to e-mail the employees that are

calling you, but worth it .. again, good luck in this very difficult

challenge... any updates about anything???
No, no updates at all.
I *almost* think that maybe they CAN'T send it to actual collections (right now it is strictly PP calling NOT an actual collections company) because I disputed it with my bank and according to PP's own policy, they cannot hold you accountable for any unauthorized charges on your account. So maybe they are just going to try and annoy me to death instead?

I do not answer their phone calls so there is no point in me emailing every PP collections person as another poster suggested. It would do nothing. I already send out the same email almost daily to my "hit-list" of PP reps and they just do not respond, period. I posted the response I did receive and I responded to it, but they just send me back the same canned responses.

Kristie,
I am SO sorry this happened to you. We emailed back and forth in Jan and you gave me excellent advice on selling my Birkin. You are HONEST and kind and do NOT deserve this to happen to you. I hope you find a resolution to this awful mess. I am saying a little prayer for you.
Karen

you are in my thoughts & prayers with question Kristie and so many of us here

on the forum are with you!!! sue the phone calls are meant to wear you down

but they are not a surprise aat this point... so do what you have to do and know

that so many of us are 100% behind you....

I am really sorry about your experience. My advice would be to call several attorneys, explain them what happened and show them the proofs. Some lawyers won't charge you unless they win the case(you should ask them for that). If they win, the buyer (or PayPal-or both)will pay the attorney fees and you will get your money back and maybe some more.Of course, the law firm will get the rest of the settlement. I am sure that out there there are quite a few law firms who would like to sue PayPal for this practices. However, since I am my self a seller, using Pay pal check out system(on my website), you have me worried here. I also sellxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxand your experience with PayPal is getting me worried. What would be your advice for e-bay sellers, or sellers who use PayPal in general, so we will not get caught in the same trap?

this thread is so intriguing. i read it all in 2 days. i'm so glad you got your money back but at the same time i'm sorry you've had to go through all this! paypal did the same thing to me awhile back but it was nowhere near 11k. wishing you the best.

none -- I would NEVER pay with a wire transfer. Even if I 'trusted ' the seller - the best scam artist create trust.
I have a buyer from Singapore she was ready to wire me with the purchase of over $4300 on a Chanel bag even we were communicated to PM only, but I refused to sell after found a flaw and told her to wait for me to exchange another whenever they have the new shipment. After 2 months of waiting, and exchanged at the store, I decided to keep the bag and told her to buy else where.

I think more scam buyers than sellers because credit cards and paypal are most stand on buyers side.

To me, if they were 100% positive feedback buyers, they are will be 100% positive sellers as well. That is logic way, you care when buying then you also care especially selling your own merchandise
